Possibly the worst thing I've ever read from the newspaper . . . Take a look at an EPIC reactionary screed regarding all things Trayvon vs. Zimmerman . . .

The polemic surveys American History in order to focus on racial disparity and offers an interesting theory that I hadn't heard yet . . . The stunning conclusion:

"So, the suggestion that Trayvon Martin (armed only with Skittles and shot dead by a white Hispanic) was responsible for his own death — that he committed suicide in a sense — takes us backward to the not-so-good-old days.

"It’s not only deranged and reminds us of the comparative non-value of black life to some in this country, but it marks for us on the ruler of justice and equality just how far there is yet to go."

The "suicide angle" is interesting if only because it proves that Kansas City's so-called paper of record is also home to crackpot theories just like most blogs. Additionally, Dead Tree Media publishing this kind of tripe speaks to their "publishing suicide" amid the digital age  - which is a tragedy that fewer people will constantly lament.
