KMBC: AAn Independence man has been charged in the fatal shooting of his 78-year-old mother.

 "Upon investigation, detectives contacted a relative who said that when he saw Ohearn earlier in the day it appeared he had been drinking and was upset that his sister was in town. The relative also claimed that Ohearn had threatened to kill his mother in the past and blamed her for all of his troubles in life."

Surprisingly, this Santa-Looking dude is only 55 years old . . . Also, X-mas is cancelled.
