KCPD East Patrol Over-budget Update!!!

Here's a quick round-up of a recent East Patrol discussion . . .

To wit . . .

CHECK OUT THE UNSTEADY COMPROMISE ON A SERIOUSLY SCALED BACK EAST PATROL!!!

Remember that AWESOME KANSAS CITY INSIDERS first told us about the $20 MIL Change Order that pushed the place over-budget earlier in the Summer . . . And now . . .

The Compromise: 56,000 sq ft not the 71,000 sq ft that the KCPD thinks is optimal. All this does is give the CSI staff more elbow room. but not new needed staff. We are behind 8 months on latent finger print ID and 3 months behind on DNA. The old building is accredited but there are so many issues around unstable environment in the current lab.

Sharp came out swinging to slow down today's ordinance. He wanted the footprint of the building to be the larger size. Just not fill it with staff and stuff. His fear is that we will never expand if the small one gets built. He asserted that the Police Board hadn't signed off on the smaller facility. The "Executive Team" voted to push forward the ordinance. Who is this "Executive Committee"? Good question, Cisco. Apparently it is comprised of the two 3rd district councilmembers, Chief Forte, City Manager Troy Schulte, Mayor James and finance staffers. I may have left out someone, check the tape. Anyhow, they are not a dream team. Part of the team, Jermaine Reed backed up Sharp and asked that the ordinance be amended and held for one week.

Circo made an ineffectual try at smacking down Sharp. Problem there is Sharp does read the ordinances and the supporting documents. He also attends community and public meetings. Hard to try to put words in to the man's mouth when he is familiar with the subject matter.

Bottom line... city is short 6Mil if they are to build the needed crime lab. Or can cut back 6mil from plans if they are striving to be adequate. Is there a way to build a soccer field inside the building? maybe that would get the needed funding.

Moment of absurdity: Circo asserted several times that the cost of buying the properties caused the cost over runs. There it is.. 3rd district displaced homeowners caused the city to plan for an out of date space even before it is built.

Marcason did keep the uncomfortable meeting on track and brokered a compromise.

Name one city built project that wasn't over budget?

Name one city built project that didn't end up costing way more to run than what the taxpayers was told it would?

    I'm waiting for your answers?

  5. Another deal where the tax payers are supposed to bend over. Seems like just yesterday we were playing games with the 30 million radio system that the tax payers were told was 12 million. Now we either build it half assed and listen to another ten years of whining until then money is handed out or we get it over with.

If someone did this shit in the private sector they would either be unemployed or on their way to the big house. In this town they snicker behind closed doors and screw the citizens over and over an over. When are the dumb asses if KC going to demand accountability that means something? .....never. and that is exactly why it happens over and over and over.

  6. Eric Bosch is a piece of scum shit and couldn't get a real job outside of City Hall. Incompetence is not rewarded outside of City Hall.

6:45AM +1 Eric Bosch, Pat Klein and others should be fired. Nowhere else in Kansas City can you get away with this level of blunder and still expect to be paid.

  7. 7:45am Not one project has encompassed as much conspiracy, corruption, fraud and the trampling of private property owners rights. Not one and there's adequate proof to support this.

I created Executive Committees too! Filled them with my co-conspirators, accomplices and friends. Publicly acknowledging them is important. John Sharp cannot be trusted. Jermaine Reed cannot be trusted. Troy Schulte cannot be trusted. Melba Curls cannot be trusted. Sly James is a lawyer and cannot be trusted.

Cindy Circo is a nail technician. Now, before the City declared its site selected, they claimed that this was the perfect site. Now, how can you have a perfect site and run over budget due to cost of displacement.

    ********WAS THE DISPLACEMENT NECESSARY?*************************************

********WAS THERE OTHER CITY OWNED LAND FOR MUCH LESS EXPENSE THAN THIS SITE SELECTION?***************************

Make the City answer these questions!

  13. TKC, your insider missed the main point. He failed to mention that testing has to be done numerous times because the current facility gets too hot or too cold, traffic makes the delicate instruments prone to poor readings and an outdated, retro fitted building leaves a lot of room for speculation as to the worthiness of test findings. All of these environmental factors make my job as a defense attorney easier.

  14. Love how the people calling for the City Architect's head are most likely the incompetents in the General Services department who can't maintain existing buildings let alone handle new ones.

Jermaine Reed shows up at the community meetings, nodding and agreeing, but when someone at City Council asks a hard question, Reed backtracks and lies, lies, lies.

  15. That homo Eric Bosch should be fire. Simple.

  17. Eric Bosch is a wonderful human being and a great asset to the city and the police department. He has created award winning projects for the department and been a gem to work with. This wouldn't be worthless Charles slamming Mr. Bosch would it? You sir on the other hand are a worthless piece of shit who brings NO value to any project you worm your way into. I knew it was you because in addition to being worthless, all you do is walk around spreading your hate!! Please go fuck yourself...
