Kansas City sign of the time amid the decline of the American auto industry . . .
KCPD must choose a new police cruiser now that production of the Ford Crown Vic is ending.
And now . . .
PLEASE ADD YOUR SUGGESTIONS TO REPLACE THE KCPD'S FORD CROWN VIC WORKHORSE!!!
Remember, given that we now live in a global economy . . . Concerns about "American made" products are simplistic and wrongheaded given that most Hondas have more parts made in the United States than the average GMC model.
So . . . Help the KCPD choose their new gear soon to be feared in rear view mirrors citywide.
The profits from those foreign companies to to foreign lands.
ReplyDeleteThe Americans do the same thing. They don't pay taxes here on profit, only take losses and base companies out of countries with low or no taxes. I get it, but it should be fixed.
Buy American.
Oh, don't you think a force of KCPD Toyotas would be kinda nice? How about some nice Prius cruisers??
ReplyDeleteHow da po po gonna git dees big mandingo lookin niggas in a Tyota ?
ReplyDeleteFiat 500 a very clown looking car for the clown show

ReplyDeleteVW Beatle
ReplyDeleteFiat! I think it would represent the city in all its grandeur.
ReplyDeleteFuck off Tony. I've had lots of debates of why you should buy cars/trucks from the big 3. Sometimes it's hard to convince people why you should support GM, Ford or Chrysler over Japanese vehicles. A lot of people say they will never support GM or Chrysler because of the bailout. I decided to take a look at history. Toyota built military vehicles for the Imperial Army during World War II, Nissan specialized in the production of military trucks and engines for airplanes and torpedo boats. Mitsubishi built aircraft, including the Zero which was used in Kamikaze suicide attacks from the Empire of Japan against Allied naval vessels. Mitsubishi also made use of forced labor during this time period. Laborers included allied POWs. Ford, GM and Chrysler production plants transformed to aid the War effort. Ford built B-24 bombers, jeeps, tank engines, and a wide array of other military hardware. General Motors converted all of its production to the Allied war effort and delivered more than $12 billion worth of goods, ranging from airplanes to tanks, marine diesel engines, trucks, machine guns, and shells. No other manufacturer delivered as much material to the Allied forces. All of Chrysler’s facilities were devoted to building military vehicles. Chrysler ranked eighth among United States corporations in the value of wartime production contracts. So while people sit there and bitch about bailouts, and buy Toyota's in spite. I say we owed it to them and am happy to have owned nothing but GM, Ford and Chrysler instead of cars built by corporations with a history of Kamikaze suicide attacks and POW labor. I'd rather buy from corporations with a history of employing my grandparents and supporting their fighting over ones with a history of killing or enslaving them as POW's.
ReplyDeleteI like how the little video leads you to believe kcpd is only driving cars to about 125,000 miles. Maybe he should look in the police garage and see how many cars are being worked on that are well above 200,000 miles.
ReplyDeleteCan they get 300,000 out if them if they maybe drive safer and the speed limit?
ReplyDelete10:32, gotta love your patriotism if not your ignorance. Chrysler is a subsidiary of Fiat. Sergio Marchionne, Fiat's CEO is also Chrsler's CEO.
ReplyDeletePut the cops in Ford Mustangs.
Chevrolet all the way!
ReplyDeleteIt would help build better relations, if they all drove Chevys with bobble headed dogs in the rear window and had white fur on the dash with dice hanging from the front mirror!
Just sayin'
Give the fat chiorboys some bicycles
