If you'd REALLY like to see the future (and in some cases, present) of Kansas City, take some time to watch this video about Detroit. Speed it up, if you will, but the pictures look all too familiar to Kansas Citians. Also, we ALL know the reasons behind this cancerous attack on our cities...Don't we?

  3. Why rebuild something that will be worth nothing when completed? People want to live in the city, but they also want to be safe. Given that trade off several hundred thousand people have voted with their feet. If KCMO thinks its problems will be solved by a few thousand young people living and working downtown they are horribly mistaken.

  4. As a nervous and wishful upholder of the status quo I think we should reduce gasoline to a 1.10 a gal - rents to half of what they are now - food to one third of what it costs now days and were on the way to recovery.

    Ready, set, go!

  6. It is long over due. What I disagree is the "How" things get done. People's property rights come first.
