Kansas City Councilman Jermaine Reed offers his constituents a new look today . . .
Check it:
kcthird.org
From the ABOUT section:
"Jermaine Reed serves as the 3rd District Councilman for Kansas City, representing over 78,000 residents in Kansas City’s historic urban core. Jermaine believes in leadership through public service. That determination has inspired him from an early age to advocate for those around him."
To wit . . .
LIKE IT OR NOT, KANSAS CITY COUNCILMAN JERMAINE REED'S WEBSITE IS UNEQUALED BY ANY OTHER MEMBER OF THE COUNCIL!!!
TKC Quick Review:
- It's a clean site and very easy to read.
- The calender and newsroom function are exceptionally helpful for newsies and constituents.
- Links to other social media spaces for the Councilman are helpful.
- Credit to Councilman Reed and his web team for understanding the importance of RSS - I wish City Hall would learn.
Credit to Lifted Logic for the site overhaul.
And now . . .
CITY COUNCIL SHOULD TAKE THE LEAD HERE AND WORK ON THEIR WEB PRESENCE INSTEAD OF REFUSING TO ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT CONTROVERSIAL ISSUES!!!
Seriously, this is a bit of good news that Kansas City's youngest Council member is working to facilitate better communication with constituents online . . .
Additional credit because he's not wearing a bow tie.
ReplyDeleteHis district looks like shit!! How'd the old fundraiser go??
ReplyDeleteCampaign prop nothing more TKC. Quit gushing about it.
ReplyDeleteMy hero, Jermaine Reed!
ReplyDeleteCredit where it is due. The site is optimized for mobile phones and tablets. Looks amazing on them as well.
ReplyDeleteHis hands are disproportionatly large--bigger than his head. WTF?
ReplyDeletehow much of the taxpayer's money did he spend on that? one of his friends probably needed some money so he threw some city money their way
ReplyDeleteIf he did spend city money, it is one of the rare expenses that is justified. City Council should focus more on communication with voters.
ReplyDeleteNope, should have paid for it himself.
ReplyDeleteTake it easy on the guy. It's not like he has had a lot of support or help being councilman. Good for him that he's taking initiative to answer more questions.
ReplyDeleteIf he really wanted to take it to the next level he could solicit and post comments from his constituents.
Very professional website for a politician, the content is really inspiring. He seems to have really turned things around and is becoming very popular. Too bad he's black.
ReplyDeleteDid you say Turd District or third district?
ReplyDeleteJermaine and Randy D. sitting in a tree .. K I S S I N G!!
ReplyDeleteJermaine had nothing to do with the projects on his website, others made them happen. Do YOUR homework. Hell, he couldn't even rename Prospect to MLK.
ReplyDeleteJohn B., he had the support from those that he wanted. Alvin Crooks, Bleed'em Inc. and Dandy Dunn. He's in the bed with everyone and has no clue.
ReplyDeletePlaza curfew
ReplyDeleteSo objectively, what are the 3 main reasons we should re-elect this guy?
ReplyDeleteThis is a typical run of the mill 1996 web site design. All the proof you need that morons are indeed inheriting the Internet.
ReplyDeleteHe is one little short goofy looking fella!
