UMB Veeps Jump Ship To Bank Of Kansas City

KC Biz Journal reports a local corporate shake-up - UMB vice presidents defect to Bank of Kansas City - "Five vice presidents of the institutional fixed-income team at UMB resigned and accepted similar roles at Bank of Kansas City."

  3. Leaving UMB for BOK is without a doubt the dumbest career move they could have made. Personally, I hope they all end up selling used cars somewhere and the truth is, they probably will.

  4. 7:47 is obviously a UMB employee, and while it's true that these five people are leaving one of the best banks in the country (and no doubt stealing a lot of UMB's customers as they go) they will hopefully take the good banking skills that they learned from UMB, and employ them at the BOK. It's potentially a great opportunity for all five of them to advance their careers, (assuming that they learned good business practices in their time at UMB) and also, great news for BOK, and Kansas City in general. We have a great reputation for good financial practices with both UMB and Commerce Banks.
