Hijinks related to the Hickman Mills School District has recently been the subject of a great deal of local controversy.
In fact, recent Hickman Mills chaos has been so bad that our so-called "paper or record" expressed a bit of concern over the school district in the South of Kansas City.

Behind the scenes this observation is cause for hope among local power brokers eager to see the long-awaited revival of the district.
"It seems the sharks have gone to feed in more abundant waters. The "leaders" that for years drove the District into the ground have turned their attention to Hickman as they have no power over the new KCPS Board. Their contracts have been cut, their influence non existent, and as a result, their ability to meddle and destroy has been diverted elsewhere. I'd consider that another sign of progress in KCPS. How long before Hickman is forced into business with ACE? Too bad for Hickman."
On the downside, Hickman Mills School District can expect no end to their troubles if the focus of education activists has now shifted to their troubled part of town.

ReplyDeleteIt is sad that reporting on any thing can lead to someone taking offense. Well I am sorry for you. I live in Hickman MIlls. We once had a district to be proud of. Now because of Breman Anderson and hu s legal counsel Clinton Adams, we have become an embarrassment to education.I 'm sure the president of the board is helping Adams prepare another lawsuit against tbe district. I wonder if Andersln can count on a juicy cut. We have become a laughing stock.

ReplyDelete414, coming from a white guy I think there is less negative on the "wetback counterparts." They have their community problems but it is not their parents that are letting their kids riot on the plaza, shoot up shopping malls, pick fights at the zoo and rob gas stations. Also, it is not their leaders that are mad because they have no influence over the Board of Education...that would be the Urban Summit.
