Kansas City Council Dude Russ Johnson continues his reign as this town's most despised elected official.
Yes, people like the guy who gave away the $15k more than Council Dude Russ.
Accordingly . . .
CHECK OUT COUNCIL DUDE RUSS JOHNSON LOSING AN INTERNETS ARGUMENT WITH HIS TYPICALLY ARROGANT AND CONDESCENDING STYLE!!!
Save KCI documents a Twitter debate that should offer aspiring politicos a lesson in how NOT to deal with the public via social media:
Wanted: An Adult Discussion
And while the new single terminal plan for KCI seems like a slam dunk with no voter approval required . . . Council Dude Johnson's salesmanship or lack thereof still seems to be putting the project at risk.

All Hail Sam Graves!
ReplyDeleteUm, his tweet was about the streetcar lawsuit, not the airport.
ReplyDeleteAnd um, why are we so obsessed with Johnson? Like he matters?
You can tell the exact moment someone loses an argument.
ReplyDeleteThe ad hominem attacks begin.
I am surprised Mr. Johnson didn't call someone a RACIST!!
7:05- You're a fucking idiot.
ReplyDeleteActually, Chuck, I once heard a public official who is VERY close to Russ Johnson say that it was no surprise to him that a particular person had filed a complaint alleging discrimination because, after all, th
ReplyDelete....they were black.....
ReplyDeleteI don't despise anyone who wants to modernize our airport. I DO despise anyone who wants to keep our city in the stockyards. Dumbasses.
ReplyDeleteSince time immemorial, politicians have been using their public office for their own personal private gain.
ReplyDeleteIf Johnson is lining the pockets of those who hire his computer consulting firm; provide him with perks; and who are potential future employers, he is only doing what most every other politician does and has done.
So why the hate?
That's right, 7:48.
ReplyDeleteAnd the best way to keep our City in the stockyards? Incur billions in backbreaking debt building memorials to societal dinosaurs- like new airports, streetcars, and convention hotels.
Some people believe the way to grow a city is to spend a shit ton of money on tourist attractions. They are wrong.
ReplyDeleteMake your city a nice, affordable place to live, and tourist attractions will come here.
I'm against virtually anything that costs more than it's worth.
748 hey russ
ReplyDeleteRUSS STRONG, everyone else weak
ReplyDeleteGrunt grunt!
Russ is a walking, talking, EMPTY SCROTUM.
ReplyDeleteWhy does not Russ do KCMO a favor? That would be to resign. We are so sick of that moron.
ReplyDeleteRuss should come out of the closet.
ReplyDeleteEl Bryan- how can you make this a nice place to live if nobody takes care of their shit? I don't whine and complain like most on this blog because I feel I'm pretty fortunate but also because whining is not my nature. Accept the fact that shit rolls down hill and figure out a way to get out of the drain hole.
ReplyDeleteIncreased public safety and infrastructure in neighborhoods, and matching funds and other development tools for property owners along main corridors who want to improve their commercial opportunities and value would go a long way, and strengthen this city faster than the P&L District or the streetcar ever will.
ReplyDeleteThe Crossroads would benefit so much more from redevelopment opportunities than they will from cost prohibitive tax increases. They should have opted for Free First Friday bus or trolley routes that are tailored for the galleries rather than an expensive train that splits the Crossroads in half.
