ReplyDeleteIn addition to normal operating expenses, the current City-employed bus drivers incur MILLIONS (that's right, millions with an M) in casualty claims, property damage and workers compensation costs each year.
ReplyDeleteIt is so bad, one of the drivers is known as the "Million Dollar Man" for all the medical care and compensation he's received from supposed workplace injuries (e.g. Both knees, both shoulders, back, neck, a knee again, etc.).
And you can't fire any of them- they're City employees!
The City Council will improve the situation by putting nail salons in the back of every bus.
