So how does this change harm the student? They wouldn't have studied as hard if they had known they had to stay in state? "Wish I had known I couldn't go to Harvard on this then I could have run the streets and gotten into to trouble"
ReplyDeleteDoubt it.
Look at a time when most people can not afford college at all don't look a gift horse in the mouth. This will save money making it possible for the program to pay for its commitment. Also if they see student after student take on colleges where they get accepted only to bottom out they may be saving you from a college that may have some internal issues, discrimination or is just too hard for the slack preparation the KCMO schools gave you. Sorry, sad but true.
If that were to continue then the program gets a black eye or they run out of money and backers. Either way it could end in the middle of you college career and leave you haning.
Wish they had had it when I was in school. I came through that district and more than met the qualifications. My parents had to stay in the same cracker box house in the same hood with my dodging the thugs for me to get through college and graduate school.
Don't be selfish.
