The Kansas City Chiefs pretty much wasted their first round pick - A tradition that the team has upheld for more than a generation.
Sports Illustrated: Chiefs select OT Eric Fisher first overall in NFL draft
New York Times: Eric Fisher Is The First Pick In An Uncertain N.F.L. Draft
Here's a bit more discussion of the topic:
2013 NFL Draft: Kansas City Chiefs take Eric Fisher No. 1
And it's not like Eric Fisher isn't a great player, he's just not going to make a difference when it comes to the team's overall legacy of FAIL.
We might talk about this more in the morning . . . Despite local sports newsies already dubbing it as (yet another) milestone of improvement.
TKC Question: Will Eric Fisher get a hug from Steve St. John too?!?!?
Hopefully, we'll have more BREAKING/EXCLUSIVE NEWS, debate, discourse, way more than our fair share of hateration and all kinds of good stuff in just a few . . . STAY TUNED!!!
KC Chiefs Suck
ReplyDeleteFinally, somebody who knows KC around here!
ReplyDeleteChiefs are hopeless.
Chiefs get the pick in perhaps the wost draft class in twenty years.
ReplyDeleteShould have gone for one of those negroes bred with the big thighs.
sad, sad, sad. You and the Chiefs.
ReplyDeleteTony knows as much about sports as he does about getting laid (with an actual woman, not his hand). There were two great tackles at the top of the board, and they picked the one with more athletic ability over the one with more experience. That makes sense, as you can continue to train someone, but you can't give them extra physical prowess. It was the best pick they could make, and he will make an immediate impact on our weak O-line. This is a move in the right direction for sure, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Chiefs doubled their offensive production this year with the moves they have made this offseason (Reid, Smith, and now Fisher). Playoffs, not yet, but I'd bet we go 8-8.
ReplyDeleteChiefs should draft Kelly Brook!!!
