Bruce Watkins Cultural Heritage Center Discussion With Author Steve Penn Regarding His Book - A Case For A Pardon: The Pete O'Neal Story

Our special guest this month will be Kansas City author Steve Penn who will discuss his first book Case for a Pardon: The Pete O'Neal Story.

Penn is a former award-winning columnist for the Kansas City Star where he worked for 31 years and started speaking on O'Neal in 1987 when he was a reporter. Since then he has written extensively on O'Neal's journey from a fiery militant leader of the Kansas City Chapter of the Black Panther Party to his transition in life as a responsible village elder and owner of a children's home in Tanzania, Africa.

Penn will also discuss his recent trip to visit Pete in Tanzania and his work with O’Neal's wife Charlotte and fellow Black Panther Party Member who premiered her documentary film on her life entitled Mama C: Urban Warrior in the African Bush on April 21, 2013 at the Bruce Watkins Cultural Heritage Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Accompanying Penn will be Human Rights Activist and our own Black United Front Member Alvin Sykes who is leading the legal campaign to free O'Neal. Sykes will announce the action plan for the justice seeking strategy designed to prove the truth about O’Neal’s case, secure justice, and finally bring him righteously home after being unable to return for 43 years. Following their presentations Penn and Sykes will conduct a Q&A session. Due to the expected large turnout for this historically important meeting RSVPs are required via kansascitynbuf@gmail.com

  2. "THE TRUTH"......Sykes wants the truth to come out. He wasn't around when this guy did the things he was accused of and many things that he got away with. But yet, he wants to set him "free", well he has been free because he fled.

Should he return he should be imprisoned....

  5. More disgusting than the idea of still ANOTHER African American who hates the fuckin shit out of America (Like all the miserable cunt fucks we import from myriad countries, especially Muslim African nations------See 3rd and Lydia in KC, Omaha and Minnisota etc etc), lets bring in an African American whose history is nothing but blood, violence and murder.

But it will be ok, because Steve Penn, or, fuckin Louis doogood pens some pathetic fuckin shit in the KC Star or on this blog that, by way of time, pardons all sins.

Hey cocksucker, it time pardons all sins, then why is there WHITE GUILT?

  7. Why does he want to come back from Africa?

I thought it was a paradise where all black people are respected by other black people and every black man and woman is a king and queen.

Isn't it a warm free paradise where brothers and sister can be around their brothers and sisters and have natural hair and not be oppressed by the white devil?

That Marcus Garvey was full of shit, I guess.
