Kansas City Transit Activist Clay Chastain promises a "better, more positive" way to effect change.

CLAY CHASTAIN'S LATEST PRESSER ANNOUNCES A NEW CITIZEN PETITION EFFORT FOR A NEW KANSAS CITY TRANSIT PLAN!!!

There aren't a lot of details but to date he has more signatures, community participation and VOTES than any other transit planner in Kansas City.

We are not going to try and recall Mayor James and the City Council for obstructing a vote on a valid transit initiative signed and supported by 4,000 registered voters, or for the fact they refused to
allow city-wide voters a say on the City's 2.2 mile streetcar plan.

There is a better, more positive way to move forward and help the people and Kansas City.

Soon, we will begin circulating a new petition initiative that promises to provide ALL THE VOTERS a chance to vote on a new, comprehensive, transit system designed not only to provide the people a first class, multimodal, city-wide public transportation system...headquartered at a new Union Station Regional Transportation Center..., but also a new vision around which we can rejuvenate the city itself!

Soon to follow, details of that new infrastructure improvement project...and its associated ballot language... designed to provide the people a more green, prosperous, and transit-oriented city.
