TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! MORE COMPLAINTS ARISE OVER PRICEY EXECUTIVE COMPENSATION COURTESY OF THE KANSAS CITY HEALTH CARE LEVY!!!

Tragically, Kansas City mainstream media is backed by corporate patronage so that means there won't be any questions about EXORBITANT executive compensation when it comes to Question 1 - A Renewal Of Kansas City's Health Care Levy.

To wit . . .

CRITICS OF OUTRAGEOUS EXECUTIVE SALARIES SUPPORTED BY THE KANSAS CITY HEALTH CARE LEVY ARE TURNING TO TKC IN ORDER TO SHOW THAT TAXPAYER DOLLARS ARE BEING SPENT ON SUITS AND NOT PATIENTS!!!

AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS broke this news earlier this week but there was a bit of healthy suspicion in the comments along with some disinformation from supporters of the corporate healthcare industrial complex.

To wit . . .

KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS STEP UP TO PROVIDE EVEN MORE DETAIL AND DOCUMENTATION OF OUTRAGEOUS EXECUTIVE SALARIES SUPPORTED BY THE HEALTH CARE LEVEY NOW UP FOR RENEWAL!!!

Let's take a look . . .

President/Chief Executive Officer of Truman Medical Centers John Bluford is leading the charge for the renewal and that's probably because his organization is getting to the the lion's share of the funding.

Accordingly . . . Click the image or the link for a bigger, better view . . .

FROM 2010 WE FOUND THE TRUMAN MEDICAL CENTER 990 THAT LISTS MR. BLUFORD'S COMPENSATION @ A WHOPPING $817,887!!!

On an even grander scale . . .

Frank Ellis CEO Swope Community Enterprises stays winning when it comes to one of the highest Medical Industrial Complex salaries in all of the metro area.

THIS 2011 IRS 990 SNIPPET DELIVERED BY AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS REVEALS THAT MR. ELLIS EARNED A KINGLY BIT OF COMPENSATION TOTALING $1,187,178!!!

And now here's the question that Kansas City mainstream media has yet to ask . . .

WHY SHOULD KANSAS CITY TAXPAYERS SUBSIDIZE THESE OUTRAGEOUS SALARIES WHEN OBAMACARE MIGHT SOON BE PICKING UP THE TAB ANYHOO?!?!?

Kansas City is committing to 9 years of some very expensive subsidy and so far there there have been only pointed questions directed at the poor and disenfranchised who can't afford medical attention instead of Kansas City's super-rich who profit quite nicely from Health Care Levy.

DEVELOPING . . .

  12. It's a shame that Kc put together such a sloppy ordinance. We need to do better for people who really need this coverage during the transition and not just for CEOs.

    Mr. Tony,
My Lord! On tax dollars? These are Private salary levels.
I nearly spilt my green tea on my prayer flags as I hope for continuing great health. A catastrophic illness would wipe me out. I suppose these gentlemen also have very good insurance with low deductibles.
I am rethinking the Health Levy. I think there could be a way to divert some tax dollars for a sick toy train.

  24. KC is like most black-run and controlled cities, is horribly corrupt.

Unlike corrupt black-run cities like Newark, Atlanta, and New Orleans we actually have an incredibly inefficient government.

I lived in the big easy. Bribing the pols was necessary for business. But once bribed, things got done.

KC graft seems to be about obfuscating what your job is, taking on multiple jobs, getting grants, etc. All essentially STEALING from city hall tax coffers.

There is a difference between taking a bribe from a private individual looking to curry favor and simply stealing money from the municipal money stack.

Eventually we need to have a crackdown on these types who leach like vampires from their own community.

Because for every one of these 1 mil non-profit CEOs, 15k missing speaker money, grand pianos in the basement, etc etc there are poor and deserving people who are deprived the money. This money was taxed or given (public nonprofits) with the intention of helping people.

It is sad too because if someone was going to donate money to a worthy cause---for example something like a neo-natal care program run by one of these hospitals, they'd be less likely to donate knowing their money is being misappropriated.

Special place in hell for people who act as vampires stealing from funds intended to lift up their community. Sad.

  25. Are any of the funds raised from levy used for administrative compensation at these hospitals?

  26. How about the execs at Blue Cross
    as they are a "non-profit"?"

They are not tax payer subsidized.

  29. To ay and all idiots Who DON'T think Frank Ellis' pay is EXCESSIVE consider that the salary of the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES is ...

    ... wait for it ...

    $400,000 !!!

Of it makes sense, doesn't it? ... because Frank Ellis' job is actually FOUR TIMES more difficult and complex and important!

    ReplyDelete
  30. It's all so clear now ... why the City doesn't care about $15,000.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Are any of the funds raised from levy used for administrative compensation at these hospitals?

Truman gets most of the fund for the health care levy. Swope gets funds too. If they want to play games with their budget that is there prerogative but the fact is that money from the health care levy will go out of taxpayer pockets and to both of these organizations.

    ReplyDelete
  32. The political poster that came in the mail said that 144,000 people were helped. If you look at the amount that these guys are getting paid, it totals $2,005,000 which means that the cost for those 144,000 is $14.00 per patient. We need to vote YES so that these patients will not go broke paying for the two administrators.

  33. NO on Q1 - YES on Q2 - YES on Q3

    Remember that's NO, YES, YES.
