Murguia, not being from Kansas but Iowa (home of Michelle Bachmann),perhaps does not really know WYCO voters. Her desire to win at all costs has attracted the worst political element in all of Kansas, the extreme right wing. She is vulnerable and they will use her. Also believe her credibility is greatly damaged as well as her political career in WyCo/KCK.

ReplyDeleteGood question 12:54. I interpret it in a few ways. Murguia is her married name and is Spanish. Her husband is Hispanic/Latino, she is not. They live in a fairly traditional Hispanic neighborhood. Her ANDA organization is in that neighborhood. Some of her in-laws are affiliated with Hispanic organizations. The Greater KC Hispanic Chamber of Commerce endorsed her. Her ANDA board chair is also closely related to that Chamber. Hope this helps.

Works both sides of the aisle? You've never been to one of circus tent shows at KCK city hall. The decisions are made upstairs behind closed doors. Downstairs Annie pouts and Markie Mark wears his rat face smile and agrees with Joe Joe on every issue.
