City Hall has long threatened speeding ticket spy cameras and now it looks like it could soon become a reality thanks to one of the weakest Councils in Kansas City's modern era.
Now the talk becomes a study . . . Which will eventually lead to a sweet contract awarded in no time:
As red-light citations drop, speeders may be Kansas City's next target
Even worse . . .
COUNCIL DUDE "NANNY STATE SCOTT WAGNER" CURRENTLY LEADS THE EFFORT FOR SPEED TRAP KANSAS CITY CAMERAS WITH HIS TYPICAL TWISTED LOGIC!!!
Now, we've long noted that Northland Council Dude Scott Wagner is Kansas City's worst politico . . . But I think when people start getting fines in the mail, I might have more people agreeing with my pioneering stance.
Nevertheless, with voter apathy in Kansas City, MO at an all time high it seems that Mayor and Council have carte blanche for every dumb idea and money making scheme floating around 12th & Oak.
In the long run this kind of surveillance and ticket crackdown merely serves to drive more people way Kansas City, MO city limits and strangely turn local streets into a police state while not contributing much to public safety given that local homicide numbers remain stagnant.
DEVELOPING . . .
Scott will one day be Mayor of KC Tony.
ReplyDeleteAnd then you will pay.
Don't forget that Jan wants the cameras on Brookside Blvd. Tony.
ReplyDeleteThe beatings will continue till people learn to behave.
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with the strange council people from up North? First is was Russ Johnson & now this idiot.
ReplyDeleteSo let me understand this. Tickets are way down at red-light camera intersections because people stopped running red lights there.
ReplyDeleteAnd that has absolutely nothing to do with public safety.
Right, Tony.
Wagner will be Mayor when monkeys fly. How stupid heis a moron who was elected
ReplyDeleteWagner will never get my vote again never.
ReplyDeleteKansas City has 1.5 more years of this do-nothing brood. Can't wait to vote these clowns out of office.
ReplyDeleteInstead of cameras to deter speeding maybe we should have cameras to deter crime. Oh, but wait, no one makes any money off that.
ReplyDeleteI think there are plenty of surveillance cameras to deter crime in stores and parking lots all over the city.
ReplyDeleteI hope the defense bar jumps all over this. When everyone stands together the system will get dose of pragmatic reality and shelve this lunacy once again...
ReplyDeleteI used to think the Alex Jones types were stupid and tin foil hat. But now we have police cars with automated license plate readers that store, for infinity, your whereabouts and goings via GPS in the cars and a picture of your license plate. We have red light cameras, soon to have roving red light cameras, soon to have roving speed cameras, drones in the sky, random checkpoints for DUIs that have a very very low probability of catching criminals.
ReplyDeleteAnd we feel safer?
So if I don't have a GPS in my car, the cops can't track my every movement, assuming that they have the manpower to do so.
ReplyDeleteIs that right?
Wagner is a do nothing Councilperson who thinks no one is watching well Scott we are.
ReplyDeleteThanks Scott for being the Councilman representing City Hall.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Scott from the Northeast area of KC, SOUTH of the river?
ReplyDeleteIsn't Wagner living in the Northeast area of KCMO, SOUTH of the river?
ReplyDeleteWe needs to all rides the bus.
ReplyDeletewe needs to get this idiot out of office.
ReplyDeleteWagner butt-fucked the idiots in Northeast, and now he thinks he can pull the same crap North of the river.
