Bobby Slayton 2/28-3/2
"A true “comic’s comic,” Bobby Slayton, often referred to as “The Pitbull of Comedy”, has been performing his own intense style of stand-up comedy for over 30 years, becoming one of the best known, respected, and energetic comics working today.
Audiences around the country may recognize Bobby from his scene-stealing roles in movies such as “Get Shorty”, “Ed Wood”, “Bandits” and, most recently, “Dreamgirls”. He’s been seen on dozens of television shows including “The Tonight Show” and “Politically Incorrect”. Bobby’s many appearances on HBO have included “Comic Relief” and his own stand-up special. He was a series regular on the HBO series “Mind of a Married Man”, and played Joey Bishop opposite Ray Liotta and Joe Mantegna in the critically acclaimed film “The Rat Pack”."

Ah, so Glazer is too lazy/hung over/in detox to plug his own club this week, so you gotta do it for him?

ReplyDelete"At our friend Craig Glazer's place..."
Maybe YOUR friend Tony, but not OUR friend.
Asshole!
Not for u deadbeats.
ReplyDeleteAnd, most recently Dreamgirls....that was 7 years ago.
ReplyDeleteDoes Glazer still pay these washed up never beens in coke like he did in the past?
And what's YOUR latest IMBD resume look like. Slayton kicks ass and he's one of the top comedy guys in the nation. You may not like Glazer but Bobby Slayton is the real deal.
ReplyDeleteWell Slaytons IMDB is nothing to jump up and down about. Ok so he has done a few shows so has thousands of other actors. As an actor Hollywood isn't to impressed with Bobby thats why he is doing the comic trail trying to keep his wife in money. Bobby is number 80 on Comedy Central network's 'Top 100 Comedians of All Time' which I guess isn't to bad if you want to compare him to JJ Walker who didn't even make the list at all.
ReplyDeletethat's great!
ReplyDeleteNow, where do YOU rank?
On top of you , bitch !
DeleteAfter reading Glazer describe Coulier and Jimmie "One Joke" Walker as "TV legends and icons" I really don't care if Slayton is the funniest guy walking the planet or not.
ReplyDeleteWhat I am concerned about is the weekly plug for a for-profit enterprise whether Glazer is here to write it or not, and how they suddenly began appearing here at the same time as Glazer.
If this is some sort of "payment" in return for Glazer writing whatever bizarre ramblings come to the top of his head about his wonderful, exemplary life, Tony, let me assure you that you are getting the short end of that deal.
