    Are you seriously telling me that a public official makes this type of erroneous statement in response to a tragedy without checking, then rechecking twice, all the facts?

  5. Klein may be correct that no permit was issued.

    And Russell may be correct that they timely filed and that KC's pattern and practice was to allow work to begin before the permit application was processed and a permit issued.

    And while it would certainly raise questions about what the fuck the City was doing with those permit applications (and any associated fees), would the issuance o a permit make any difference in whether or not JJ's exploded?

  7. Wuldn't have made a bit of difference, all the permit does is collect some money for the city and they come out after all the work is done and make sure the sidewalks and streets have been repaired correctly.
