Kwanzaa is by far one of my favorite celebrations in Kansas City.
It's a holiday that combines the cultural with the political and there's usually a lot of great music.
So, tonight . . .
TKC TOOK A QUICK LOOK @ TONIGHT'S KANSAS CITY KWANZAA KICKOFF CELEBRATION AT THE GEM THEATER!!!
It was a lively celebration with lots of crafts, literature and a great many people . . .
Okay, not everything was my cup of tea but there really is a lot to like about Kwanzaa.
Again, the music was really magnificent . . . And we were happy to say Hi to more than a few TKC friends . . .
Best of all . . . KC Kwanzaa MC John Riley took a moment to explain to us the meaning of tonight's event that celebrates 14 years in the 18th and Vine District tonight . . .
Kwanzaa In Kansas City 2012
And so . . .
Happy Kwaanzza To All TKC Readers This Evening!!!
Umoja! TKC.
