TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! EARLY MORNING ASSAULT ON KCPD OFFICERS!!!

Read this Kansas City report of violence against Kansas City police officers starting the return to work . . . Check it:

"On 12/26/2012 at a few minutes after midnight, officers conducted a car check on a parked car in an alley west of 10th and Paseo. When the officers approached the vehicle on foot, the driver put the car in drive and drove at them. The officers fired several shots then pursued the car until losing sight of it. A short time later, the vehicle was observed in Kansas by KCK PD officers. They initiated a car stop and the driver stopped without incident. The driver was arrested and transported to an area hospital to be treated for a non life threatening gunshot wound."

  5. The police officers were stupid! They should never have placed themselves in a position to be hit. Sounds like a couple of trigger happy ex-military cowboys missing Afghanastan

  6. That's right, they should have gone directly to the coffee shop. Its safer there the clerk has a concealed carry permit.

  7. The cops should have anticipated a drunk, doper, or dirt bag sleep or half a sleep in his car in an alley as someone who would be startled alert and would drive off. Had they approached the car from a tactical advantage, they wouldn't have been forced to shoot. Let's see, is there anything in the story that suggests that the cops received even a bruise? If not, then how could they have had time to get out of the way of the car and still have time to shoot. The fact is they are trigger happy inexperienced street cops that need to be fired!

  8. I'm glad everyone one here is informed on the facts of that night and throwing in their ten cents. Y'all need to apply to the PD and teach at the academy so we can learn how real police work is done. Bottom line situations are always changing and we have to adapt. Cop work is 99% reactionary. Unless you were there that night do the human race a huge favor and sit down and shut up. And remember the lions don't lose sleep over the opinion of the sheep.

  9. You can't be in fear of your life when you had time to jump out of the way. Don't put yourself in front of the car and you won't get hurt. Hopefully these rookies will learn eventually and not put themselves in that situation again.

  10. So many armchair cops..haha..Unless you were there and KNOW what the situation was, you don't have much to add. I'm sure it's much different than logging in hours watching cop shows. Maybe those who are so critical can walk a mile in their shoes and try hard not to crap your pants when it hits the fan. Oh...other outlets are reporting the car matched the description of a vehicle that ran from cops the night before.
