TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY DOWNTOWN TOY TRAIN STREETCAR ALREADY OVER BUDGET!!! INSIDERS CLAIM SECRET CITY HALL COST ESTIMATES APPROACHING $200 MILLION!!!
Advocates for Kansas City's upcoming Downtown Toy Train are straight up lying when they use to "fully funded" to describe their pet project.
To wit . . .
THE MOST BAD-ASS TKC TIPSTERS TELL US THAT THE MOST RECENT COST ESTIMATES FOR KANSAS CITY'S DOWNTOWN TOY TRAIN STREETCAR ARE STARTING TO PUSH INTO THE $200 MILLION NEIGHBORHOOD!!!
Like any good Kansas City construction project, the price is already spiraling out of control before a single shovel turns over an ounce of dirt.
Behind the scenes Kansas City's top engineering firms are slugging it out to take the lion's share of the biz and it's really the proposition of more toy trains that's running up and "justifying" the cost.
And so . . .
THE REASON WE'LL SEE EVEN MORE KANSAS CITY TOY TRAIN DISTRICTS IS BECAUSE THE MOST ARDENT SUPPORTERS OF THIS PROJECT ARE BASICALLY RUNNING A LEGAL PONZI SCHEME THAT HAS ALREADY STARTED TO DEMAND MORE CASH IN ORDER TO STAY ON TRACK!!!
Last one . . .
WHAT WE'RE REALLY LOOKING AT HERE IS A RUNAWAY KANSAS CITY TOY TRAIN THAT'S ALREADY BLEEDING RED INK!!!
But more than anything else, some of the most BAD-ASS TKC TIPSTERS are warning that cost overruns are the real reason for toy train expansion in Kansas City that is subsequently undermining local Democracy. And the "fully funded" line is nothing more than rhetoric spouted by the pathologically naive which reflects a horrific scam soon to be perpetrated on Kansas City.
DEVELOPING . . .
Construction projects often run over budget. Still better than paying $7 a gallon for gas.
ReplyDeleteSupport the Train!
Get on board KC!
Except gas is under $3 a gallon, and to go 2.2 miles most folks only use less then an 1/8th gallon of gas. which really means it costs less then 50 cents to travel the same distance in an average car. Plus most already own cars, and don't really need to spend 100+ million on one...
DeleteJust something to think about
City hall insiders also steal gift cards while living off the taxpayer....
ReplyDeleteAre they any worse than all the lawyers who steal at City Hall?
ReplyDeleteI suppose the $15K, given to the NIGGERS, will find it's way into this budget??
ReplyDelete7:19 seems to have an adversarial relationship with reality.
ReplyDelete...the excellent and highly innovative two-mile streetcar line recently opened in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The total cost was just $4 million, or $2 million per mile, including five restored PCC streetcars. Where is the KCMO money going???
ReplyDeleteIf we have to have a streetcar that we don't want, let's make sure that it uses Heritage and Vintage streetcars. At least it would have potential as a tourist attraction.
ReplyDeleteAttn: 7:19 am For what this folly is going to cost, KCMO could free cab rides to everybody that wants to use it and still come out way ahead.
ReplyDeleteGee, maybe we can borrow it from China...anyway we need that train so shut up and pay your taxes..
ReplyDeleteSly fists the taxpayer ass and smiles.
ReplyDeleteObama drives a train up the ass of the taxpayer, then plays golf.
Progress.
$7 a gallons? 2 Miles 200 Million. Average calories burned walking those 2 miles 400. Total cost to walk those very long 2 miles FREE!!!!Tax implications priceless, better health etc....I voted NO!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to vote this Mayor out.
ReplyDeleteSince the funding mechanism for this which was just voted on and passed calls for raising $100 million only, where is the other $100 mill going to come from? General funds? That is not what people voted on. Are they going to go back to the voters and ask for another tax increase? When will this ever end?
ReplyDeleteThis will end when KC and it's residents are broke. Till then shut up and pay up. You all voted this trash into office so deal with it.
ReplyDeleteThis (these) NIGGERS are pilfering Kansas City so badly, that nobody knows just how deep it goes. Chances are, you'll NEVER know. Just bend over and enjoy Kansas City.

ReplyDeleteBOHICA
8:51 AM Great point.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing more dangerous then greedy men in a hurry to make money.
ReplyDeleteHard to believe, these are supposed to be smart guys, elected to lead a city government... and they manage to make such moronic decisions. And even after they're told what wasteful things they've cooked up, they can't find it in themselves to reverse course and admit a mistake. And do something better.
ReplyDeleteThis train thing... what a way to waste a couple hundred millions of dollars. Reminds me of people who buy big boats and overpriced houses.
Why worry about things outside our control? I vote No on every tax increase and the Yes still wins. Obviously we are outnumbered by the majority so in this democratic country, we have to abide by the decisions of the many. As a downtown resident, I would never ride the train nor would I take friends and family. The taxpayers of KC deserve what they get continually voting for more tax increases. Here's a novel idea, we may pay for the train now, but vote no on every other tax increase and it will balance itself out.
ReplyDeleteI think they are using Detroit as a pattern on how to run a city.
ReplyDeleteThe $7 a gallon / ride the bus guy is a complete fucking idiot. Must be a democrat
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha!!! Where is the Funk when you need him?
ReplyDeleteWe want Funk back!
ReplyDeleteI live in the trolly taxing district and would never ride the thing. All I will get from it is a $20/$25 per month increase in rent. Thanks so much Russ & Sly.
