The Kansas City Chiefs ended this horrific losing season with yet another defeat.
The team finished with a disgusting 2-14 record that has confounded so many cheerleaders and sports newsies who claimed the team might rebound and finish in the playoffs this year.
Today's game was typically a comedy of errors.
The Chiefs couldn't score a touchdown and really seemed incapable of playing professional level football.
The bigger picture . . .
More than anything, Jovan Belcher's murder/suicide seemed to exemplify this season of FAIL for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Yes, yes . . . Everybody know that #firepioli is trending on Twitter but that kind of talk is typical of fanboys who don't understand the economics of small market teams or the reality of pro-sports ownership in Kansas City.
In sports and most everything else . . . Kansas City exhibits a culture of mediocrity.
This horrible football season is really just the tip of the iceberg for a city that mistakenly believe that a toy train qualifies as mass transit or that a Mayor who smiles a lot is a real leader.
On the bright side . . . The Chiefs have secured a 1st round draft pick that won't do them any good.

The off-season will be "exciting" for the easily entertained but we're really just talking about the same cycle of FAIL repeated with a few variations.

As we put this season to bed, it's important to remember that The Kansas City Chiefs are a business and not a civic institution. The Chiefs viewed merely as a money making operation have done quite nicely with very little investment and continued fan and media participation.
Nothing is going to change as long as people keep attending and watching games and this town is undeniably dedicated to this group of losers who haven't shown much hope as a competitive NFL team in the modern era despite continued mainstream media propaganda . . . And this cycle of fail doesn't seem to be changing any time soon.
Playoffs next year.

Pity anyone drafted to this shitty-assed organization.
ReplyDeleteYou mean "Kansas City exhibits a culture of slackerdom." They don't even make the cut for mediocrity. Kansas City is a sad little town and soon to empty completely out. Nothing left but a fat Mayor and a City Council that continuously rides the short bus.
ReplyDeleteLeast Denver let them score 3 points.
ReplyDeleteNothing mediocre about those titties, I'm Sly James bitch! Show me them titties. They better not sag like Cindy Circo's!

ReplyDeleteSuper Dave - the didnt let them score three points....they gave them 3 points!!!...its the holidays man!!!
ReplyDeleteOh ok my mistake sorry.
ReplyDeleteDenver could have scored 70 yesterday.
ReplyDeleteUntil they put together an offensive line, there is no time for receivers to run routes, no holes for running backs to run through, and no time or confidence to allow a quarterback -- any quarterback -- to make reads and deliver accurate passes. AND it is not a matter of THIS line being hurt most of the year. They were hurt because they are not first level athletes. Clark is going to have to dip into some of the families off-shore money and hire talented offensive linemen before there can be a full assessment of the team. (Or, he could cut back on the hair care products, but the money has to come from somewhere.)
The failure of the offensive line also results in short "drives," and poor field position, which puts pressure on the Defense.
ReplyDeleteLooks like they're gonna keep that fuck stick Pioli. What a worthless organization that saddles itself with a jerk like Pioli (or however you spell shit..).
ReplyDeleteMove the Chiefs to Goodland Kansas it's a small market they might thrive in a community college league
ReplyDeleteSure proud to pay my 1/2 cent sales tax every time I make a purchase.
