TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! CRACKDOWN ON COMMUNICATION AND COMPLAINTS FROM KCPD RANK & FILE!!!

It's troubling to hear that criticism and discontent from KCPD rank and file officers has allegedly been met with a crackdown on communication.

To wit . . .

NUMEROUS REPORTS FROM KANSAS CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT INSIDERS CONFIRM THAT MANAGEMENT DOESN'T WANT THE RANK AND FILE MEMBERS OF THE KCPD TO ENGAGE IN CRITICISM ON THE INTERNETS!!!

By and large we understand this and it's a tactic that's tried and true in the biz world. But KC's police department is not a biz . . . They're on the front lines of public safety in Kansas City and a great deal of info regarding the department should be part of the local discourse.

Here's just some of what we're hearing back . . .

* We've blogged about and heard a bit more detail on "The November Brain Drain" @ The KCPD and several really great officers have called it quits during this month or moved on to other nearby departments.

* Local Control Discontent - We're moving closer to the reality of local control in Kansas City and I've yet to meet, talk to or hear from ANY member of the KCPD rank & file who thinks this is a good idea.

* And yes . . . Sadly, we've heard talk of a KCPD COMPUTER BLOCK ON TKC and the order coming straight from the TOP COP himself. I'm not gonna make a big deal of it because this isn't about TKC . . . Public safety and the sentiments of the rank and file are FAR MORE IMPORTANT than this dump of a blog. And, realistically, an increasing number of people are looking at this site on their smartphones anyhoo . . . So, we've really moved beyond a point where office blocks are effective.

For these reasons and so many more the alleged crackdown on communication and discontent from the rank and file is disturbing . . . Insiders tell us that this move is worsening morale that's already hitting bottom.

I won't pretend to give any advice on this subject but it's important for everyone know that WORD ALWAYS GETS OUT . . . What's worse is that new KCPD leadership started out wanting to encourage more discourse and communication between the community and department . . . Unfortunately, that sentiment doesn't seem to apply to conversation and some important criticism from the rank & file.

DEVELOPING . . .

Comments

  1. Nobody should be reading TKC at work. Maybe on their phone in the toilet.

  2. KCPD commanders don't want the public to know the truth about the corruption and discontent at KCPD. The low morale and poor performance is manifesting itself into a crime and homicide rate that has lasted for years. KCPD commanders don't want the public to know the truth about the cronyism and favoritism within KCPD, much less the poor treatment of some of our best officers. KCPD will use all efforts to muzzle the rank and file. The IT dept. is tracking internet usage of computers.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Ok I understand the use of dept computers for personal internet usage. But what any member of the dept does on their time is their business. The top cop don't like the dirty laundry being air out to the public then he best get off his ass and fix the issues. I myself, like seeing any taxpayer paid employee letting the taxpayer know just what is going on in our government. I don't always want to just hear what the leaders have to say since we have all come to know as a rule it's sugar coated facts or an out and out lie.

    ReplyDelete
  4. correct, they are tracking dept computer. Have been since the chef took over. Ur safe outside the work place to voice your opinion.. Yes, Tony you are right on the money. If you only knew how many cops appreciate a place to voice their gripes. We had somewhat a similar blog several years back that got shit canned after several members in what then was called the "Gang of 8" conspiracy cried like little turds in a toilet bowl. The KCPOA leaders didn't have the balls to stand up to the command staff then and the board was taken down. TKC, look into the Gang of 8 conspiracy. You'll see racism at its best. Sad thing is, is that it still goes on today within the Blue Wall.

  5. Forte looks like and unshaven urban core banger in a chiefs uniform. Just think if we had local control it would be ten times worse.

Does our police department not have a black man that can lead and inspire and stop the crime wave. Are we doomed to having an incompetent black chief for blacks sake or can a black, intelligent leader with logic and committment be found in the ranks.

As long as no one makes a real change there will be no change

    ReplyDelete
  6. KCPD has been a shitty place to work for a long time.
The morale has never been poorer.
KCPD has lost a lot of good people.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Why would anyone expect that a government agency charged with forcefully executing the wishes of its inept civilian leadership and funding that same leadership's ill-conceived agenda through asset forfeiture and silly fines for non-crimes against the state to not suppress dissent among its own ranks?

    ReplyDelete
  8. 8:05 AM
KCPD is not under civilian leadership, it's under an inept Police Chief and Command Staff.
Also KCPD reports to the State not the City. The BOPC reports to the Governor of Missouri.

    ReplyDelete
  9. The members of the BOPC couldn't find half the station houses in the city. That's just how clueless and silly they are.
These appointments are nothing more than political payoffs with the notion that somehow being on a board that oversees year after year of 100 homicide "accomplishments" is a real resume-builder.
Just go to a meeting and watch the performance!

    ReplyDelete
  10. how embarrassing this is for kansas city.

    ReplyDelete
  11. There's a blacklist out on the the officers communicating with the media.

    ReplyDelete
  12. so fucking what.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Why is it so good now, would a different governing body help? Why not, seems like the current system is not doing well for the rank in file now.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Perhaps if the chief and his staff gave the rank and file an opportunity to provide input and air grievances they wouldn't feel the need to turn to a blog. Unfortunately the chief has no plans on that, he's going to ram his agenda through no matter what anyone thinks or the harm he causes to the kcpd. He's going to have it his way and to do that he has to control communications and repress the masses much like the tactics of a dictator.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I'm trying to imagine what a conversation would be like if Chief Daryl, Mayor Sly, and Coach Romeo had a get together. COMEDY GOLD!

    ReplyDelete
  16. KCPD is going down hill fast. Morale is at a new time low. No one trusts the command staff. Many officers are spying on one another and reporting what is being said to the chief.

    ReplyDelete
  17. ROFLMAO Tony your cred is officially kaput with this stupid piece. You must be going through twinkee and snack cake withdrawal or not getting enough sound sleep.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Ur digital toilet bowl is full of DEVELOPING . . . Call the plumber.

    ReplyDelete
  19. KCPD is screwed. It's not like it's a big secret. Ask any cop.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Maybe Sly should coach the Chiefs, Romeo run the PD and Forte could be the new mayor.

    ReplyDelete
  21. secret reports are being used to document loyal officers.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Forte is a triple coward. He is afraid of those under him. He is afraid of those over him. And he is afraid of his own ineptitude.

He is frozen in fear and consequently the department is swirling the drain as good officers leave and more murders and crimes rack up with no plan or approach to change the paradigm of the current crime wave or treatment of his dedicated officers.

A change in leadership not for change sake but for a real leader is needed for this department more than any police department in the Western hemisphere.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Be careful what you say and to whom, it's all being reported. Officers are snitching on each other to gain favoritism with the command staff.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Another sign of a bankrupt police leadership. God when will someone intervene. I know...when a real trajedy happens that kills alot of people because the Department was too focused on gossip, tattle tales, snitches and internal back stabbing politics.

I might win a big lawsuit if Forte comes after me. But thanks for the warning.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Sadly, it isn't just Forte. Even the leadership of the FOP has gotten in on the backstabbing game. Officers are no longer allowed to voice disagreement with the FOP leadership because the FOP leadership will threaten and seek out discipline of anyone that disagrees with them. Forte, his inept circle of commanders and the FOP leadership are the most thin-skinned bunch of pussies to ever wear a badge. What a joke they are.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Blame, blame, blame gets us nowhere with our millions of problems in the city.

    ReplyDelete
  27. So stop blaming the blamers you hypocrite. Support the REAL KCPD!

    ReplyDelete
  28. The "Real KCPD" has been dead for several years. Over the last few years, I've seen go-getter officers just say "fuck it" (myself included) due to getting no support from the command staff always questioning and Monday morning quarterbacking. And they wonder why activity is at an all time low.

    ReplyDelete
  29. It certainly does not help matters that the chief has surrounded himself with "yes" men. Look at guys like major Roger Lewis. He is too busy sucking the chiefs ass all day to realize that he has turned into the type of commander he said he never would. Go ahead Roger we all know you sold your soul to stay put with the regime change, you fucking coward. You are a fucking joke.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Dear Mr. Tony: I am sorry to hear what you reported in this posting. Your blog is essential to everyone interested in stopping our city's crime surge--the local media are, for the most part, so terrified of the local versions of the Politically Correct Thought Police that they will not report the truth on the crime situation. I may throw a brick at my television if I see one more absurd discussion among the city's "talking heads" claiming that our crime disaster is due to: A) Lack of adequate gun control B) Youth demograhpics C) The recession D) Our city's failing education system. Every city in the nation has to deal with problems A-D above--yet KCMO is one of the few that cannot get its crime under control. Trying to curtail discussion of the city's crime problems will not make these problems go away--it will only make them worse. Take care. Sincerely and Respectfully, Ernest Evans

  31. 1:44 pm and 2:08 pm (so called Logic)...Glad you could join us Forte. Now lemme see the real KCPD??? Hmmmm....is that the genuine inept department that can not stem crime and refuses to take imput from their officers on the front line.

Or is it the genuine inept department that has an us against them management attitude.

Or is it the genuine inept department that is plagued with rampant racistism against white officers.

If you are guilty you get the blame. No amount of bashing the valid accusers will change your guilt at a failed department with failed leadership.

Try another tactic to hide behind the yelling blamers at your knowledgeable accusers and exposers is not working. Remember triple cowards always refuse responsibility Chief.

  32. i couldn't agree with you more about 'old Roger. How about Capt. Paulson. If citizens only knew about the skeletons in his closet.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Capt paulson is one sneaky back stabbing 2 faced unqualified moron. I knew him as an officer before he ever got promoted and all he did was try to dodge calls and kiss butt. He was a horrible officer.

  33. Man, it sure looks like the KCPD has been run like a third world country, ever since the NIGGERS took it over. If you look up the word "tribal", it really fits what's being reported. Hey, maybe we ARE a third world country now, with all the NIGGERS in charge of everything. Maybe we ought to consider that?

  34. Working at kcpd is like being in the former soviet union with kgb spy's everywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Question, and I am being completely serious! Why do we need KCPD? Use the money to hire security patrols in the neighborhoods and businesses. The citizens would be so much safer. The only thing KCPD does is arrive after the fact! I honestly think we can do without them and still keep business as usual in KC

    1. Ssssssooooooo you know what is going to happen before it happens? Quick, what's the powerball numbers going to be?? I could use that money!! We could split it!!

  36. Hire chinese officers to patrol each political precinct. You could get them for minimum wage and train them to be more competent than what you have now. I know a Chinaman would not put up with pants under yo ass and tech nine guns.

I bet they could clear up crowds hangin around at night and doing drugs and gettin drunk

I truly believe qualified chinese law enforcement let loose on these lazy dope dealin and usin nocturnal monkeys would be a big lick against crime.

    ReplyDelete
  37. You lazy crybabies get back to work. We know there's only a few people on here writing multiple posts and don't care about your whining. You'll be exposed soon enough and then we'll have your tiny little balls in a vise. Good luck.

  40. 6:16 a few speak for many as you are quite aware and if that is your response, to seek out and destroy those with legitimate complaints rather than maybe, just maybe dealing with the issues, then you identify the exact problem at the kcpd and provide evidence that the issues there are worse than imagined. Little balls? You are the one with the small cajones, kissing ass to protect your do nothing job and I'm certain never standing up against injustice or wrongdoing.

    ReplyDelete
  41. 6:16 pm aka Forte.....You might bone up on free speech rights. And you might read a "how to manage people book". You might treat that female employee better than just using her. She might be persuaded to take action if you choose to pursue some of your officers or you get real stupid and try to put my bucket of balls in a vise. Stop crime, treat officers like they are valuable and get a clue Fourtay..

    ReplyDelete
  42. If Forte didn't have something to hide he wouldn't block this website. Sounds to me like he is trying to keep his own people from seeing what else is going on.

What a disappointment he has turned out to be, the city was touting him as the first African American chief I am embarrassed and I am black. I would rather wait a little longer for someone actually qualified to take the spot and to have earned it. Instead he does the minimum ammount of tim thdes inside and slithers his way up the ranks

    ReplyDelete
  43. Every once in a while, someone comes on here & tells Tony how irrelevant he is. I'd say this computer block belies that! The threads on here about the police are always the most interesting to read. Clearly, they need a forum where they can speak freely without fear of reprisal. They have a hard, thankless job. They deserve to be treated with some respect.

  46. Well BiRon your first logical post. Hey I guess even a blind hog can root up an acorn now and then.

  47. I bet Forte is axin his girlfriend that works at the department if she would ever turn on him.

    Fony Forte...

On this Thanksgiving day let us Pray for the State to come in and fire Forte, clean out the drones in administration and make a department that fights crime and protects citizens.

    ReplyDelete
  48. agreed 9:47!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. The department's priority has never been or will never be protecting and serving. The department serves the ego's of overpaid officers and commanders who couldn't make it in life doing real work for a living. Many should have stayed in the military because real police work is about being one with the citizens and not being an occupier.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Major oakman was followed by the Intelligence Unit and observed going into a motel room with an unnamed female while on duty during work hours. Plus, the motel was over in kck. Why was this never reported? He should be fired!

    ReplyDelete
  51. You all know Forte's weakness fo white women and what he is doing right now on the force. Why not expose that?

Recently Forte has been quietly reexaming his meat route trying to find out which one will turn states evidence.
