Uncommon Courage: "Political correctness is necessary as long as their remains prejudice and racism that divides people."

Uncommon Courage posts a MUST READ essay on political correctness and its far reaching implications.

  1. When political correctness turns into the soft bigotry of low expectations, which happened a very long time ago, the very folks who are working to become empowered and strive for their own success and that of their community is diminished to that of the lowest common denominator. In fact, the people who want to stay in the victimization/entitlment role hold back progress. And they have plenty of "leaders" who are making really good livings by maintaining the appearance of being the only people in the community who can bring something from someone and somewhere else.
The actual lesson is that as long as people either don't want to or incapable of walking through the doors that are open, they'll find plenty of others who will work hard to convince them that the doors are still closed.
But success isn't going to come by just being something. It's about taking advantage of opportunities like school, and becoming something.
In KCMO the political correctness industry is alive and well and is a part of the very status quo that's killing people.

    Dead on the money.

The implicit and inherent facism that is now part and parcel of the self appointed, self righteous politically correct wallahs who extemporaneously administer scarlet letters to those with opposing views, is nothing more than the noise to drown out the logic of those same views.

Argument and discourse suffer for an affective, emotional, falacious, guilt based narrative that is beaten into the populace by a disingenuous 4th estate and those who make bank on the effort.

"Political correctness is necessary as long as their remains prejudice and racism that divides people. I certainly don't condone the reaction to the recent insulting Anti-Muslim film. However, if we all treated others and other religious beliefs with respect, because people deserve respect, think about how many innocent people, including the American Ambassador to Libya, would be alive today. "

That disgraceful, 2nd partying of the blame for murders and blood spilt, by a demonic Islamic culture whose incessant efforts to destroy anything Occidental over the last 1700 years in the name of a pederast prophet, is exactly the sentiment that brought us the "Arab Spring", 9/11 and you tube videos of the counselor's fellow Jew's heads being cut off on You Tube.

"I considered myself a "feminist" of the early 1970's, meaning I believed in equality for women. "

The irony of this quote, followed by an apology to a culture which actuall DOES, NOW on this day still not only treat women as "chattel" but in fact murders them by the thousands every year at the impromtu whim and caprice of the men in that same culture is fuckin galactic.

The You Tube video made in some guy's basement is NOT the problem with the most recent flare up in the mideast. The problem is the malevelant bedrock of hate, that, in my opinion lives in the hearts and minds of those Islamic citizens of the world.

I am ok with that hate, I know what it is.

It's the same kind of hate that took out 6,000,000 Jews in WW2.

It's the same kind of hate, that will not be assauged by more pusillanimous posturings by politically correct initiatives either on this blog, of eminating from our American ship of State.

Happy Rosh Hashanah counselor, we are standing on that wall for ya.

  3. Treating others with respect and political correctness are not the same thing. The author seems to confuse the two.

  7. I agree with the lady. Its all fine & well for the white man to bitch about the 'victimization/entitlement' crowd. But the fact is women & men are not equal, nor are whites & blacks equal. To cry foul is to deny this simple truth.

  11. I had a landlord named Jaben, 42nd and Locust, the early 80's. He was quite tolerant (and kept a gun in his office).
