This level of Kansas City mainstream media pushback is unprecedented . . .
Even last year local newsies wouldn't have dared to question the front office. While I suggest social media change, it could also have something to do with so little hope of improvement for Kansas City after years of FAIL. In any event here's a bit of a shocker from a local sports newsie:
Matt Stewart notes . . . Chiefs: A Lost Season
Here's the money quote:
"So here’s my point: The Chiefs won’t be good again for at least three years. And that is only if Scott Pioli is gone. He might have been executive of the year while with the Patriots but he has made too many bad moves heading up the Chiefs. If Clark Hunt finds the cajones to clean house and bring in a new GM, then the Chiefs can hopefully get back on the right track."
We'll be watching to see if Mr. Stewart is allowed back in Arrowhead. Normally the Chiefs like to clamp down or block anybody who complains. In fact, according this morning's most popular joke among mainstream media denizens, The Chiefs front office has been far more effective than the O-Line at deflecting and preventing attacks or criticism.
DEVELOPING . . .
I refuse to believe that it is necessary to spend money on an offensive line in the NFL. It would just be a waste of money. I think the Chiefs are doing the right thing and I think the ownership should take more money out of the franchise for personal use like hair care products and accessories.
ReplyDeleteThe Chiefs need a new stadium. They can't possibly compete in the NFL without one. Then add another 1/8 cent sales tax to be used for free agent players. Its just a few dollars per month for hardly working taxpayers.
