Meth Town Working On Top 5 Too

The Examiner provides an update on Independence, MO priorities: Economic development, animal shelter are key projects for city

Comments

  1. Through the city manager's incompetence and unwillingness to hire more than nine people to run the regional animal shelter, Independence has missed out on that opportunity. He should probably stick to getting drunken blow jobs in cars, rather than getting involved with economic development.

  2. According to the Examiner 'District 2 Council Member Curt Dougherty was absent.'

Must have been some kind of nudist/swinger weekend at a Motel6 in Iowa.

  3. Independence needs to do two things:

    1) Quit screwing the pooch over that animal shelter or before you get done studying it to death we will all be stuck paying for a 20 million dollar county dog pound.

    2) Stop developing stuff. The bass pro fish pond is a money pit. The Independence Center sits dead most of the time. The I-70 retail development is starting to look like a ghost town and the tax payers are going to get stuck picking up the tab. Centerpoint Medical Center has turned out to be a big rip off. If you guys want to develop something try developing some common (fiscal) sense. Instead of going further in debt to solve debt problems how about tightening your belt and if existing developments have to fail then so be it. The idea that tax payers should be milked because of crappy decisions of recent years is just dumb.

Suck it up Independence there is a wrecked economy out there. Anybody Home inside those noggins? If you guys want to play hot shot business men then use your personal monies and get out of the taxpayer's pockets.
