Some poor guy outside of Hy-Vee the other day couldn't even GIVE away free copies of the Star.
ReplyDeleteouch.
ReplyDeleteIts because newspapers give away their product on the Internet!
ReplyDeleteI always tell those KC Star guys who try to sell me a subscription at the mall, etc., that I can't do it because the paper is so "heavy" I can't lift it out of my yard or driveway.
ReplyDeleteBushnell's paper will survive because there is a niche to be filled, i. e. local interest coverage. In theory, even the Star could survive though there is so much more fluff and dead weight there that it's not likely.
ReplyDeleteNational news has become instant news. The only content that I purchase is highly specialized industry news that isn't in the general public interest.
40% + 7%... That's the group Romney was talking about. Where do the other 53% get fed?
