Sadly, once again the Kansas City weekend starts with a bang . . .
Report:
"At 10:32 am officers were dispatched to 30th and Woodland on a reported shooting. Upon arrival officers located a b/m victim laying in the street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Evidence at the scene led officers to believe the shooter may be inside an apartment building in the area. At that time an operation 100 was called. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries."
Check the links:
KMBC: Police surround building at 30th, Woodland after shooting
KCTV5: Police involved in standoff with shooting suspect
Fox4: Officers are involved in a standoff with a man who is suspected of shooting a another man Friday morning near 30th and Woodland in Kansas City, Mo.
KSHB: Police are initiated in a standoff with a shooting suspect at a Kansas City house.
Update: The Standoff is over and police didn't find anybody in the house.
This story just keeps repeating itself, only with different addresses, ALL in the fucking hood. NFUE.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the rain can keep the body count down this weekend. Otherwise the chief of police will be trying to explain why 2012 homicides are, with multiple holiday killings, now at 2011 levels despite all the resources thrown at the problem. We're one drive-by away from that possibility.
ReplyDeleteNothing to see here, Hot Spot Forte is on it. Solving the ills of the city one retroactive pay raise at a time.
ReplyDeleteI think the nig-nogs need to go for three fer... Just keep setting those NIGGER records!
ReplyDeleteNobody even knows what resources are thrown at this problem, because the people who direct and provide the funds really don't care. In fact there are many tens of milions from corporations, foundatons, and state, coutny, and city government spent through various not-for-profits on "crime fighting" programs. Wouldn't it be a good place to start by seeing where all that money goes, whether it is used to address today's issues, how these organizations could be more effective by working together, and how some of those resources could be directed to support programs and initiatives that the police and others are trying to undertake?
ReplyDeleteOf course not, because then the status quo and the individuals and groups who benefit financially from it would be unhappy, accusations and allegations would be thrown around, marches would be held, intimidation would increase, and the real test of whether KCMO is going to address 2012 issues or stays stuck in the victimization/entitlement past of the '60s, so no changes are made even though homicides continue at two every week.
A helpless community on the east side, and a cowardly establishment coupled with a city government and police board who are more interested in denial and PR than in actually adressing the basic organizational dysfunction, ineffectiveness, and lack of accountability of the police deparment they supposedly run.
Will the next out-of-twon program save the day even whrn nothing changes locally?
Not a chance.
Ok, for the fifth time, WHO ARE YOU? You are my hero!
DeleteWonder if Forte is going to tweet how kcpd and it's programs are responsible for the crime surge?
ReplyDeleteI'm also waiting for the candy ass cop to get on here and tell us how hard his job is.
Yup another Stand Off at an empty house.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else besides me see the problem here?
Yep, and the problem and blunder is called KCPD.
ReplyDeletegreat points 6:15, you outlined the issues perfectly.
ReplyDeletehey 7:23!!! Yes my job has been hard the last few days....... its been very hard at doing nothing in the ghetto.......let the monkeys take cares of dem selvs....
ReplyDeleteHey Superdave, why don't you leave the KCPD your phone number so the next time this situation comes up they can have you come out and knock on the door to find out if the suspect would like to come and talk about what he just did.
DeleteSuper Dave = Super Douchey Dick
ReplyDelete837, does dave get a take home car and a 80000 a year salary for doing the police's job then?
ReplyDeleteThere's in tactical circles that might come in handy. It's called "perimeter". Worth checking out
OMG! You sound like a veteran tactical operator....you should come out with Dave! I'm sure you could do the job of the cover team and entry team all by yourself! Please tell us more about this "perimeter" theory you have!
