A victim's Rights group and a number of supporters are fighting to keep e-mails and correspondence away from an organization (Catholic Diocese of Kansas City - St. Joseph) they claim helped to victimize the very same people for which SNAP advocates.

"Some 24 organizations are supporting SNAP in its bid to stop KC Catholic priests who are accused of molesting kids from gaining access to SNAP’s private correspondence. The organizations – local, state and national - have filed amicus briefs urging Missouri’s highest court to nix the church’s drive to get more than 20 years of SNAP records.
"They include Catholic groups (like the Association for the Rights of Catholics in the Church, Call to Action, and Voice of the Faithful) and other church groups (like the Faith Trust Institute and the National Black Church Initiative). Local and state organizations backing SNAP include Kansas City Community Together, the Missouri University Family Violence Clinic, and the Missouri Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence.

I believe SNAP is more concerned with protecting the identity of victims rather than any law firms.
