LAST NIGHT KC PRIDE ENDORSED CRYSTAL WILLIAMS OVER JASON HOLSMAN IN A CONTROVERSIAL VOTE THAT CREATED QUITE A BIT OF DISCORD AMONG MEMBERS!!!
From what we hear it was a typical Kansas City LGBT clusterf*#k with Coach Comstock calling for calm and then leading the charge for his political favorites.
A TKC TIPSTER tells us . . .
"It was an embarrassment and it's a shame that KC Pride seems to be nothing more than a front organization for cronies, family members and longstanding KC political connections. It's an LGBT group in name only."
We hear it was pretty embarrassing with Crystal supporters paying their membership dues while attempting to cast their vote and procedural rules seemingly thrown out the window in order to give Crystal the only victory she'll have in this race . . .
And then it gets really fun . . .

The KC PRIDE Democrat Club belongs to "Dutch" Newman. She had Calvin Williford form it because they could not control the 4 Freedoms Democrat Club that is the real voice of the LGBT community in KC. Right now Dutch needs a state senator who will force Governor Nixon to appoint her unskilled and unpopular and rapidly aging daughter, Michelle, to the Missouri Tourism Commission that works with the Missouri Division of Tourism to promote travel in Missouri. Having met Michelle and seen the tacky clothing, chemically-altered hair and fake smile that she always wears the Governor did not want her wandering around the Capitol or the Truman Building. Besides, this the state is nearly broke so we cannot afford painting all the division's offices a sickening shade of bright pink that Ms. Newman has a history of demanding at public expense. Michelle's old crone mother blames Senator Jolie Justus for not forcing the Governor to appoint Michelle to the post in 2007 when Nixon came into office. For this reason Dutch has been waging political war on the LGBT community by blocking Gay candidates to the County Committee and appointed office. Now Dutch wants both a state senator (Crystal Williams) and a state representative (Judy Morgan) under here control so Michelle has to be appointed to that council. Michelle was kicked off the Kansas City Convention & Visitors Association, and we can only speculate that the city's leadership caught on to Michelle's lust for coercing freebies from association members. Remember this fact: members of the Missouri Tourism Commission have the access to travel to resorts around the state at public expense or on “comp” credit from resort owners. Members of the Missouri Tourism cannot have a history of working the system for personal gain as has been the history of the Newman family. An unethical member of the council could also force the cost of out of state and even overseas travel on to Missouri taxpayers. All taxpayers in Missouri should be afraid if Dutch Newman is able to push her daughter on to the Missouri Tourism Commission if Crystal Williams and Judy Morgan win through spurious political endorsements like KC PRIDE. No one in the LGBT community should fall for this trickery. It is pathetic that Camp Magazine, The Star and other news outlets let this kind of corrupt organization that has been cited repeatedly by the Missouri Ethics Commission to operate without the glare of journalistic light.

ReplyDelete5:56 - Apparently you think that is a good line because you keep repeating it. Holsman has triple the number of contributors and 5X the amount of cash on hand as Williams. His campaign is well funded not because of any one individual; it is well funded because he is the best candidate and voters contribute to good candidates.
ReplyDeleteKeep in mind that only one candidate in this race loaned his/her campaign money. That was Crystal "Richie Rich" Williams to the tune of $10K. Must be nice to be able to have an extra $10K sitting around to flush down the toilet. The voters recognize the loan was not a wise investment, which is why they have not made the same mistake by contributing to Williams. No one to blame but the candidate for that.

He is the better candidate so people are naturally giving more to him than Williams. That's how democracy works.

Nutter only gave her $1,000 (not the $15K she told everyone), and so Williams had to loan money to her campaign. That is the dumbest move I've ever seen. Why not double down for the July report? It is good to believe in yourself, even though no one else seems to.
