Come on KC... I'm doing my best to keep you informed and off the roads if you have been drinking. Yesterday I announced TWICE that there would be a checkpoint last night so you could plan ahead. Then I re-tweeted the EACT location of the checkpoint so you could call a cab! This is the second weekend in a row AT THE SAME LOCATION, 31 DUIs last week and 25 more this weekend. ReplyDeleteGet wasted as often as you can. Designated drivers help. It is very easy to overestimate your ability to operate a motor vehicle while drunk. I don't drink, usually. I see no problem with partying.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to get serious about drunk driving acknowledge that driving is a privilege and it can be regulated. All entertainment districts should provide parking structures where the drivers have to pass a sobriety test before they can get the tag to the car. In other words, when you know you are going to Westport you better arrange for a driver or plan on walking. Maybe walking to your car parked elsewhere, ya' know?
Or you can sober up. And when you blow the breathalyzer you can drive off the lot.
