A popular KCPD program moves to the urban core. This police youtube clip provides a bit more detail:
Citizens Police Academy is forming
The Academy begins Sept. 8th and runs every Sat. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for six weeks.

The Citizen academy !? Big deal it's like having cub scouts pretending to help the police.
ReplyDeleteDidn't they make a movie about that with Steve Gutenberg?
ReplyDeleteMaybe the cops and the citizens can work together to try and find some of the Impact Zone money. There certainly isn't any evidence of it doing anything in the community.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations KCPD, This is a good opportunity for citizens to understand the issues Kansas City Officers face on duty. Citizens will leave with a whole new respect for their police.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations KCPD, now you'll have an audience to cry and moan in front of. Get out the dog and pony show.
ReplyDeleteNobody trusts the cops.
ReplyDeleteThey steal from their mama's and you have to screw them to keep from being arrested.
Finally a program for those who didn't get to be patrol boys in grade school.
