I know it's supposed to rain this Sunday but I was thinking about the dreadful Summer coming soon to Kansas City.
Winter was mild with almost no snow thanks to Global Warming.
The Spring was pretty nice when most of Kansas City wasn't full of snot from the high pollen.
But everyone seems to agree that this Summer is going to be INSANELY hot and horrible. Not just awesome hot like Laura Michelle Prestin.
Both in a literal and metaphorical sense . . . A great many people in Kansas City fear the long, hot Summer.
In Missouri we've seen an unprecedented number of threats to our politicos from out of touch and frustrated reactionaries.
On Kansas City streets the level of violence and homicide isn't slowing down.
This is an election year and while the GOP candidate doesn't inspire ANYBODY . . . That doesn't mean there's not a lot of rage against the status quo.
Oh yeah, and this Summer our local government at City Hall is more concerned with promoting toy trains, more taxes and borrowing cash rather than dealing with problems in Kansas City neighborhoods . . . So they're not really looking to help anyone but themselves.
