COMING SOON: RETURN OF THE TKC E-ZINE!!! IN THE MEANTIME, CHECK OUT A FEW AWESOME OLD SCHOOL ISSUES!!!

Before we really get going for the evening, let's do a bit of blog news.
WE'RE GETTING READY TO DELIVER A NEW AND IMPROVED TKC E-ZINE!!! CHECK OUT THE UPDATED OLD ISSUES THAT OFFER A PREVIEW OF THE NEW STYLE AND FORMAT OF THIS NEW PUBLISHING ENDEAVOR DESIGNED FOR TKC TABLET AND MOBILE USERS!!!
While our last flirtation with the ezine format featured a bit more photography. The future of the TKC E-Zine probably has more in common with an LOCAL ONLINE OPINION JOURNAL than a blog with quickly rotating topics. It'll also showcase some photos, longer form writing and even YOUR opinions. Most importantly, the TKC E-Zine is probably more like an e-book than a blog . . . It's more of an extension of this blog aimed at tablet and mobile readers than a new endeavor. We're looking for more original content in the same spirit as our little free-for-all on the Internes but maybe just a bit more thoughtful . . . OR NOT.
In any event, I wanted to reformat last year's issues and put them here for you d-bags to download . . . And tell you guys that a new issue is coming up.
Quick thoughts about the TKC E-Zine . . . Until there's a universal e-book format (sorry, ePUB doesn't cut it) . . . For now, .PDF gets the job done nicely with the easiest options for tablet and mobile integration.
There won't be a charge for every TKC E-Zine but SOME of the issues will host a download fee i.e. I'll be selling a few of these E-Zine issues. Again, this isn't a paywall but more like a smallish charge for an e-book extension of this site. I'll offer previews so readers will basically know what they're getting and the cost will be minimal. It's a neat and new experiment that I'm anxious to see in play. Real Talk . . . It'll be much more fun and far less expensive than the silly Dead Tree Media E-Star experiment that's pretty much a FAIL.
Finally, for the moment, this is a bit of a TKC re-commitment to reject advertising, sponsors or any cash for influence deal. Look for me on campaign finance reports or on the payroll of any local biz and you'll find NOTHING . . .TKC HAS NEVER TAKEN CASH FOR ADVERTISER INFLUENCE!!! It's a point of pride and something that few other media outlets can claim given that the digital era is really the era of sponsored content in so many disgusting forms. Real Talk: I might have enjoyed a few pieces of chicken and some beer every now and then but no advertiser ever got their money's worth from TKC given that I've always had a strong tendency to give far more loyalty to my opinions over employers.
Anyhoo . . Check the old issues with a bit of description and enjoy!!!

The First TKC Ezine issue was raw and we tried the 16:9 format but I still like some of the shots.

The second sssue was entitled "revista" and I have a feeling that themes are going to be a part of all the future TKC E-ZINE endeavors.
