TKC Breaking News: CampKC Goes Glossy!!!

CampKC is the LGBT news-source-of-record in Kansas City.

Check out a bit of detail about their new eye-catching cover . . . And take note, this is a paper news resource out there trying something different:

"Ann Brown, Photographer, and Andy Chambers, make up artist, did the cover and the lovely Cydney Carll was the model. Camp KC printed this issue for the first time in a small magazine trim size with a glossy cover and did a special Gay Pride Bar Guide section on the back cover. "

Surprisingly, Camp KC isn't officially working on the upcoming KC Gay Pride Fest. As the LGBT event approaches, we might blog the topic more . . . As always, count on CampKC as one of Kansas City's BEST alternative news sources.

  1. Love it. Nice work, John!

  2. Craig Glazer over on KCC says this,
"My nephew Jake is a junior at Shawnee Mission East and he told me, "Uncle Craig, it's the rage...this bisexual thing in high school. It's like the bad boys of the 80's were Rockers, now they are bi!"

Now we know Craig can at times bend the truth if not out and out lie but to throw out there that underage kids are maybe into this sort of thing.

Is CampKC as well falling into the hands of minors?

    Just a thought.

    Here is the story,

  5. Comments like these prove that we need an out lesbian as our state representative. Straight people are all bigots and we must be in position to dictate our rights!

    ReplyDelete
  6. No comments like yours prove rest of the world is tired of your type jamming your ideas down our throat.

Love who you want have the sexuality that you want just keep your style to yourself and stop thinking you are entitled to special favors or media coverage about it.

I am who I am and I don't feel the need to day in and day out blab to the media or carry signs or change my style of dress to prove it. In short I am very happy with my life style and don't need the public support or attention to make me feel that way or good about myself.

Due to the lack of punctuation... I can't tell if that comment above is offensive or supportive of the gay community. I'm gonna say supportive because a name like Superdave is super queer.

  8. The one and only thing we need the Taliban for, is to subcontract the formulation of LGBT policy to them.

Maybe straight guys should start having I Got Laid Parades... no, not likely. Only a bunch of attention whores would make a big deal out of getting some.

  9. Unfortunately, Kansas City is the gayest town in america, only "behind" SanFagcisco. Thats per capita, but still. When I was at UMKC, the biggest campus club, was LGBT. Made me sick

  10. Am I the only one who thinks it ironic that Pooper Dave talks about having things shoved down his throat? Methinks she doth protest too much.

  11. I went to Bazooka's the other night and went to the video arcade upstairs.

In less than 5 minutes I had my hard cock being sucked by another gentleman who then pulled down his own shorts and slipped my cock into his ass. In less than two minutes I was blowing my load inside of him.

It was fucking HOT. My first man on man anal sex.

    Can't wait to go back!

  12. Oh some real funny people in here today.

For every gay person I know that acts like they should I know probably 10 to 12 others who think all the world wants to talk about or hear about is how gay they are and what they do to support it.

In short those of you who are gay go for it but just as well be cool about it and not act stupid about it. You will find people respect you more.

If I ran around telling everyone I know or met how much pussy I got all the time and everything we did every minute of the day I would soon find I had very few friends because they as me don't want or need to hear all about it.

  13. Despite the obvious, heterosexual intimacy is everywhere we look; magazine covers, television, radio, internet...I could go on and on. The go-to, unoriginal, offensive, ignorant and overused comment "gays shove their lifestyle down our throats" is absolutely assanine given the plethora of examples of your heterocentric "lifestyle" that plaster the air we breathe. Give us a month. Give us a day. Give us a magazine cover, glossy as it may be. Considering the wildly unconstitutional disparity of civil and basic human rights afforded the LGBT community in this country and across the globe, I find it pervasively naive and just plain cruel that people such as Superdave, i.e. Superbigot, taunt the marginalized. Superdave is a prime example of a bully. Superdave is a bully. But,Superdave is outnumbered by proud, loving, gentle, and kind people who want only what Superdave so ingnorantly takes for granted - the approximately 1400 federal and state rights that the LGBT population only hope to obtain in our lifetime. And on a final note, Superdave, if you assume being battered, mocked, muredered, and ostracized is a "lifestyle choice", I challenge you to walk into a bar or a store alone and pick up a copy of Camp Magazine so you can feel, if only for a moment, the sense of silent courage the LGBT carries every day of our lives.

  15. Go have a vagatarian sandwich Megan.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Megan is correct. My wife & I have to watch Victoria Secret commercials while trying to watch television. Its embarrassing.

LGBT's don't want special rights, they want equal rights. There is absolutely no justification for denying them.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Their 'rights' aren't constitutionally guaranteed you apologist, appeasement-driven twat. They want special rights to include the redefinition of marriage and the right to adopt and corrupt children.

    Banish the bastards to Afghanistan.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Oh listen to you...

    "Banish the bastards to Afghanistan."

I'm sure a lot of them queers (that's how I imagine you speak. I also imagine you riding around in a giant Ford truck with a rebel flag in the back and testicles proudly hanging from the tailgate.) Anyway, I'm sure a lot of them queers are fighting for your rights and freedom right now over in Afghansistan among other places while you BBQ and crack open a cold one on this beautiful Memorial day.

"Why gay marriage should be illegal:

Homosexuality is not natural, much like eyeglasses, polyester, and birth control.

Heterosexual marriages are valid because they produce children. Infertile couples and old people can’t legally get married because the world needs more children.

Obviously, gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage is allowed, since Britney Spears’ 55-hour just-for-fun marriage was meaningful.

Heterosexual marriage has been around a long time and hasn’t changed at all; women are property, blacks can’t marry whites, and divorce is illegal.

Gay marriage should be decided by people, not the courts, because the majority-elected legislatures, not courts, have historically protected the rights of the minorities.

Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That’s why we have only one religion in America.

Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That’s why single parents are forbidden to raise children.

Gay marriage will change the foundation of society. Heterosexual marriage has been around for a long time, and we could never adapt to new social norms because we haven’t adapted to things like cars or longer life-spans.

Civil unions, providing most of the same benefits as marriage with a different name are better, because a “separate but equal” institution is always constitutional. Separate schools for African-Americans worked just as well as separate marriages for gays and lesbians will."

    Welcome to America, I guess.

Where being morbidly obese is genetic and being gay is a choice.

The times are changing with or without you so I would go ahead and learn to love thy neighbor and embrace that the gays aren't going anywhere and we love them right where they are.

  19. The cover is amazing!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. The fact that you can't sell your daughter for three goats and a cow means that we have already redefined marriage.

    ReplyDelete
  21. YEAH! THEY WANT TO ADOPT AND CORRUPT CHILDREN!!!

because we hear on the news all the fucking time about how those homosexuals left their babies in hot cars, at a crack house, lost their baby, beat their babies, molest their babies, their babies commit suicide, their babies go hungry..

    wait.

    no.

I had that wrong. I've never heard that at all.

  22. My "vagatarian sandwich" was delicious. I found a hair in it, but hey...it was better than PB&J. The sandwich enjoyed being eaten as much as I enjoyed eating it.

  23. This isn't Debate 101. The simple fact is that there are people who know they are accountable to a Higher Power and because of that, they can never, ever support that which is an abomination before the Lord. Neither can they vote for a candidate who supports and/or practices the abomination.

That is precisely why LGBT issues fail by huge margins, over and over again, at the ballot box.

Tony, as a Catholic, you should understand this.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Your religious beliefs are not facts. Anyone who watches the news of the world can see that religion is evil. "The Son of Man" is not the "The Son of God". Christianity is not the state religion. The "Bible" is not "The Word of God". Grow up.
