Teacher Pep Talk For Kansas City Public Schools Amid Union Busting Plan!!!

Take a look at a rather sweet message from the KCPS honcho:

"On behalf of the staff and administration, Dr. Green says thank you to the teachers of the Kansas City Public Schools."

That's sweet. But the upcoming plans for the KCPS include getting rid of more teachers and working to make tenure harder to attain. Top officials at the KCPS claim cooperation with the Teacher's Union but that'll soon fall apart as more teachers start to get fired.

DEVELOPING . . .

  1. The school district is going to contract out the high school custodial staff. putting approx. 42 employees out of work. Larry Englebrick, Director of Facilities (who was fired from KCK for stealing money) is contracting all of faciilities work out to his Johnson County buddies. Screwing over the hardworking, underpaid facilities employees. Larry Englebrick was involved with the project 360 scam that was on kshb41 action news. His boss resigned. WHY IS ENGLEBRICK STILL HERE?

  6. As long as he gets rid of Ajamu and those jokers at ACE, he's got my support.

  7. Dr. Green is doing a good job. I am sorry about the people who want to keep facilities management the way it is. Truth be told, the maintenance of the schools, with a few exceptions, more or less sucks. Maybe I don't see all of the work that is taking place; I really don't. I've yet to visit a school in another district that wasn't better looking than ours. Perhaps changing the way facilities management work will be better.

  8. Speaking of the 360 contracting scam, what ever happened to the "facts" the Crispin Rea challenged Channel 41 he was going to present to prove their story was inaccurate?
Why would the media, including TKC, allow a member of the school board to make such a statement and then no demand a follow up?
The COO of the district resigned over this being found out and the contract itself was canceled.
So why were those actions taken if the report by Ryan Kath wasn't true?
Is Rea actually saying that he approves of this kind of insider operation?

  9. Englebrick is a very shady character! I have seen him up close and personal. Very shifty in his dealings with people! Do not trust this man as far as you can throw him! And trust me, even the strongest man would have problems lifting this guy off the ground!
