The Mayor won his battle with the firefighters by acting like a bit of a bully.
He threw a tantrum and got his way with a Plaza curfew that is starting to have some negative consequences.
He's also crying foul over media reporting on his family.
AND NOW KANSAS CITY'S MAYOR WANTS HIS DOWNTOWN TOY TRAIN!!!
I'm encouraging Kansas City comic artists to take this theme and run . . . But this image seems appropriate for tonight.

ReplyDeleteMy favorites are the ignoramuses that argue about the racetrack purchased by the Parks Department cost the city money that could have been used for other purchases. Well, they're wrong. Those funds were collected and designated in a manner that made it impossible to be used for other improvements. You can't spend Park's money for KCFD or other purposes.
People who argue against light rail are either uninformed or to stupid to comprehend the economic development impact of the project. They are probably the same ones who wrongly think the Mayor can control adult members of his family.
Economic Impact of "toy train"...its a mirage, advanced by self-interested engineers and lawyers. Why do we keep falling for this SHIT!

ReplyDeletethe race track was only bought because a US Senator had a financial intrest in that property. Sell out Cindy spearheaded the take over effort and with in days hosted a fund raiser for said Senator.existing parks are not maintained now why not use money from this land grab for that.
