TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY TROOST FEST SUCCESS!!!

Here's TKC starting Monday angry because other folks are too polite to give the majority that kind of satisfaction . . .

Anyhoo . . .

THIS YEAR KANSAS CITY TROOST FEST WAS A RESOUNDING AND EPIC WIN DESPITE THE EFFORT OF SO MANY IN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA AND INTERNET D-BAGS TO HATE ON ANYTHING RELATED TO THE EASTSIDE OR PEOPLE OF COLOR!!!

Even better . . .

WE HEAR THAT OCCUPY KC REFOCUSING ON LOCAL ISSUES WAS PART OF THE SUCCESS!!!

Here's a bit of testimony regarding the event . . .

"Thanks for the shout-out for Troost Fest. Troost Village was able to put on the Troost Fest this year with absolutely ZERO city money. It was truly grassroots, with the involvement of about 20 organizers, with inkind donations and private donations and community fundraisers. The street was very full today, there were no altercations, everyone had a great time. And the Occupiers were a great resources, they helped us a lot. They sponsored one of our fundraisers, helping us raise over $500. They did help with security and set up. They were much appreciated."

Even better . . . KANSAS CITY'S GREATEST PHOTOG HAS A GREAT GALLERY FROM THE EVENT!!!

Neither the Mayor nor any of the other City Hall politicos were in sight but we did hear that MO State Rep. Brandon Ellington was down there along with a lot of his supporters. In the final analysis it seems like a great time and it might have helped in disproving most of the Internet hateration spun by people who rely on WorldStarr hip-hop for all of their cultural insight.

More to come . . .

  3. I am with 6:22. Good to see they could have a celebration and no one got hurt. Thats one step.

  4. I was there. It was OK, but just OK. I didn't see anyone from the Occupy movement, but those folks seem to be pretty darned disorganized. I did pick up some delicious tomatoes for 20¢ each, so the trip wasn't totally wasted.

  5. Another tedious post on the path to your irrelevance. All we saw there was the backside of Mr. Ellington.

  6. The spear-chucker mural depicted in your photo, was the most relevant aspect of the whole event.

  7. Sad when a group of niggers get together and don't kill someone is mainstream news. White Asians and Mexicans have get togethers all the time and it's not news worthy.. Guess it's cause they don't kill all the time.

Wow, how fucking low the bar has been lowered.

Just take a moment to really look at that photo... why it just looks like a delightful place you'd want to take the wife and kids for a Sunday picnic doesn't it?

  9. Just another monkey circus, complete with a sideshow and animal acts.

  11. The mayor couldn't show up cause he was at home babysitting little Kyle. Surprising Melba Curls wasn't there with her main squeeze Jim Glover!

I attended a local festival last Friday night, the usual type with lots of rides for the kids and carnies pushing stupid games with no takers. The real shocker was the fact that you couldn't tell the carnies from the crowd. Almost every person was covered in tattoos, obese and ugly as sin. The kids were as horrifying as the adults where all the boys were dressed up like gang-bangers and the girls looked like drug addicted Eastern Jack whores. If that's the future, then there isn't much of one.

  13. Resounding? Epic? Not so far as I could see. BTW--did anyone give the festival permission to block the park and ride lot because there was a young woman sitting in a parked car there blocking the entrance.

  14. Wouldn't Occupy KC "refocusing" falsely imply they were once focused?

  15. Harvey Wireman,

    You are a liar.
You've been making this same comment for two years.

  16. Are you guys serious, Melba & Jim? I hope they don't have children. Omg

  17. Jim Glover was there for a couple hours - by himself - he is the only city council person I saw. He was eating a tomato like an apple with the juice running all over his arm...

  18. I love Troost and this festival. Good job guys!

  19. "
able to put on the Troost Fest this year with absolutely ZERO city money"

    WRONG!

This group has received over $28,000 the past three years from the City to help with this event.

  20. FYI - in the past the festival has received city NTDF grants. We DID NOT receive a grant this year. We have been approved a grant for next year's festival.

  21. Bishop Tony Caldwell, footed 99.9% of the bill.
