Bring a candle!

Nobel Peace Prize nominee Bradley Manning’s next appearance in court will take place this week, April 24-26 in Ft. Meade, MD. At the previous hearing on March 15th, Bradley’s lawyer filed a motion to dismiss all charges based on the government’s failure to present evidence as requested.

  2. Do you think anyone really cares about this? Viet Nam was a big deal because there was a DRAFT! Well, they did away with that. People don't have JOBS and GASOLINE is still very expensive. Folks don't have the time or energy for this side-show.

  3. The world court says those who expose a wrongdoing are innocent of the war crime, american courts differ. The UCMJ said the exposer, is to be free of charges, And, with his supposed ability at computering, what the military taught him, he shold only be able to enter in his name and password. He should be innocent, because other government(hackers) have to have a PHD to get beyond that kind of access. Next, as a military person, how could he get on to security side of State? for the memos. All a put up, free.

  4. Who gives a fuck about Bradley Manning.....Keep his ass locked up!

  5. Interesting slacker comments. If they are not going to draft them, they don't care what war crimes are committed in our name, with our money, by our soldiers.

I am sure these guys would have been good soldiers and just followed orders in WWII.

Manning exposed video of our troops killing civilians whose only crime was being on the same street that the 'target' was on and then killing medical rescue workers that came to the aid of the 'colateral damage' victims.

We need more patriots like him, and less moral slackers willing to turn a blind eye to evil.

  6. Manning's no more of a "patriot" than Obama is a statesman. Manning is simply a little fag, who got got exposed and now thinks he's a martyr. Fuck him, no, on second thought, he'd just like it. Feed him fish heads instead...

  7. Ahhh troll logic again. You also probably believe supporting our troops means supporting whatever military actions those in power decide to use our troops for.

Personally I think supporting our troops means not putting them at risk without a compelling reason, not asking them to commit war crimes, giving them decent health care if they are injured and not forcing them to stay in the service when their term is over.

  8. He hangs with anarchists who through Wikileaks seek to undo the fabric of society. Tough to feel any compassion for Bradley/Brenda or any of his/her pals.

  9. maybe Jane Fonda will be there.

Fuck him You think maybe hes in jail because somebody on the outside might take a shot at him?

I'm thinking CANDLE LIGHT VIGIL! Am I right? Now that would get the PIB's attention. And where the hell is Obama on this issue?

  11. 10:01, Obama is a stupid lying nigger. Manning is a real American hero by exposing the bullshit "politicians" do to put our soldiers in harms way AND THEN prevents them from winning!

  12. 10:16 has it pegged. Support our troops by using them wisely, giving them healthcare and not putting them into harms way without justification.

With that being said, we wonder why we keep seeing footage of American soldiers killing civilians or holding genitalia etc on the news.

We ask young men and women to go out and do our collective dirty work for us, train them to kill, put them though hell and throw our hands up when they do what we ask. Who really thinks war is PC? Who honestly expects war to be clean humane, and PG13? The point of war is killing the enemy until they give up or cannot fight. We've been doing it as long as bands and tribes have had conflict. It's a presentist fallacy to assume that war is more deadly or unethical than it ever was. This is how it's done, and this is how the winners will always win.

Killing civilians is (regretfully) part of war. We tend to forget that as Americans because war hasn't been fought on our turf for quite some time.

If you want to support our troops, don't ask them to go through utter hell and then railroad them in the court of public opinion when they do what they do.

The mere savagery of war should be sufficient to prevent it, but the notion of civilization is nothing but a thin veneer...

  13. Does anyone else find it ironic that a gilded-age fountain dedicated to a real estate developer is now ground zero for political protests in KC?

Whatever happened to the Ilus Davis People's Park?

  16. This mother fucker put the lives of countless servicemen and women, not to mention U.S. civilians in grave danger with his treason. All this bullshit about him being a "patriot" is garbage.

  17. War is about killing the enemy, not innocent people. When we kill innocent people we are the enemy. We are degrading ourleves as a nation when we see war as simply their side and our side. It is about the wrong side and the right side. It is our moral duty to search or souls for the right side. Tenet, Powell, Bush, and Chaney etc. we know committed fraud and lied to us leading us into the needless Iraq war. Libby (Scoter) exposed a CIA operative for political reasons. No convictions, no jail time. They were given the nations highest medals of honor. The pattern of tyranny has taken over this country, and quiet frankly I am a little bit scared, with all those killers out their, because I have a tendecy to speak the truth. Manning should be judged in the light of these men of power actions, and the motivation of his cause. 100,000 Iraqis lost their lives, and 10,000 allied forces. I do not take human life lightly, mine in particular, and we should take pause to the carnage we brought to Iraq by the invasion. The blood is on our hands, and I quiet frankley think I should not have to live with these blood stained hands created by liars and traitors to the laws of our nation.
