ONE YEAR OF SMILES FOR MAYOR SLY!!!

As a gift for one year in office . . . The Kansas City Star wrote Mayor Sly a love letter.

Check it:

An optimistic first year for Kansas City’s mayor

Anything even remotely negative TKC and TV Newsies covered first and better.

The Star gave Mayor Sly a pass on just about everything and didn't even mention that the spending under Mayor Sly has caused this town's bond rating to tank. Behind the scenes . . . That FACT is more important than any of this political chatter or his acolytes talking touch on the Internets and then running back to their sheltered middle-class lives after work.

Soooooo  . . . For now, The Star loves the Mayor just like they adore every tax increase as long as they don't have to pay it.

Meanwhile . . . Ask around KC Proper and ESPECIALLY in the urban core and public sentiment about Mayor Sly is anything but sweet and all smiles.

Just wait and we'll show you more . . .

  1. That article was all fluff and b.s. What a joke the Star has become. I used to read it religiously but now I haven't paid for it in years. If they are going to censor themselves I'm not going to pay for it.

  2. No worse or less untrue than some of the puff pieces I've read on TKC.

  3. True, however, TKC doesn't put himself or his blog out there as a legitimate, legal publication. The Star (and most print media) has failed to keep up with the times and digital communication has left them pitifully, in the past.

  8. DEar Mr. Tony: Thanks for posting. Actually, most of the Star article was okay--the section of the KCMO crime situation was way off target--but typical of most of the local and national media in that it blamed the crime disaster in KCMO on A) Poor schools B) Lack of effective gun control C) Lack of jobs. Yawn--the only thing not mentioned as a cause was the heartbreak of psoriasis. Take care. Sincerely and Respectfully, Ernest Evans

  9. Surely, A,B & C would be a good place to start.

Dear Mr. Byron: Thanks for note!! I am all for steps to achieve A, B and C as good ideas on their own merits. But failings in these three areas have nothing to do with the fact that we have just entered the fifth year of a massive homicide surge in the black neighborhoods of KCMO. Take care!!! Sincerely and Respectfully, Ernest Evans
