Google Fiber Could Put Kansas City At The Epicenter Of A New Digital Content Paradigm

Bloomberg Biz Week Tech section keeps track of local broadband news:

Google Fiber in Kansas City Makes Hollywood Nervous

Money line and the bottom line: "Regulatory licenses and other evidence point to Google considering video distribution as part of its Kansas City fiber project."

All of this is nearly as fascinating as the "keyboard cat" on the Internets . . . Still, it's kinda cool that Kansas City is at the epicenter of a digital content revolution that could make life that much more interesting for local couch potatoes . . . Or at the very least it might offer some trash TV alternatives.

  3. That's right. The last time anyone used that word at city hall it ws Terry Riley describing his plans for the water department and he thought he was talking about two ten cent pieces.
