Before her days as a Kansas City politico . . . I've joked (relentlessly) about her penchant for making THE ABSOLUTE BEST POTATO SALAD IN THE HISTORY OF BROOKSIDE!!!
When I'm grumpy, I refer to this item as one of her major contributions to Kansas City political life.

Sadly, I don't see any potato salad on the Cafe Trio menu. So, I'm guessing everybody is hoping that Council Lady Jan will whip up a serving bowl of her specialty dish and sneak it into the dinner party.
Also, this is kind of a pricey venue for Kansas City's beer budget . . . But who am I to complain?
I'm sure it'll be a nice gathering at one of Kansas City's most posh locations in order to discuss cutting resources, benefits and services.
