THE HOTTEST TICKET IN TOWN AMONG LOCAL POLITICOS IS AN INVITATION TO AN UPCOMING FUNDRAISER FOR PREZ OBAMA FEATURING KANSAS CITY MAYOR SLY!!!
It's going to be a grand event with a lot of opportunity for networking, schmoozing, making political connections . . . And of course smiles.
While austerity rules Kansas City's budget . . . It's interesting to see and hear of Mayor Sly raising cash to keep Prez Obama in power. Not that I disagree with the strategy . . . I'm just hoping they'll be some payoff down the line that doesn't involve an endless volley of hopeful speeches.

ReplyDeleteYou're right it's those guys buying and selling futures contracts that are causing gasoline prices to rise. Bush and Obama's war lord policies of keeping the markets in constant fear of another middle east war have nothing to do with it. Yup, it's those guys who buy and sell in equal amounts that are causing the price to go up. Yup, I understand, economic reality be damned. Political games mean nothing it's those people doing something that you don't understand that must be causing all of this.

They do contribute, true, but look no further than the incredible unrest in the Middle East for the reason for high gas prices. Also look to Obama for wanting to halt the production of coal plants. Nearly 45% of our energy comes from coal. So do you doubt that will the coal energy stymied, gas will not go up?

Here's a fun fact: Obama ran for president, knowing the issues, and he pledged to FIX THEM! Three years later he hasn't done squat, and he continually shoves blame for his ineffective governance onto Bush or someone else. Guess what? You knew the status going in, you promised to fix things, and you failed because you are incompetent and surround yourself with incompetence (Napalitano, Holder, Clinton). So your failure, while disappointing, is not a complete surprise.
If we get Obama for another four years, our country will be in a world of hurt. Disappointing to know mayor supports him.
