A TKC Reader notes . . . "More than 2400 readers of the Washington Post (that's no typo - more than 2400) have commented on a thought-provoking new column by E. J. Dionne. The Catholic pundit asks if the US’ most conservative bishops “want to junk the church as we have known it. . . and turn it into the Tea Party at prayer?” Prelates, he charges, are launching “attacks that. . . cast administration officials as communist-style apparatchiks.” Dionne cites St. Louis native Cardinal Timothy Dolan, who said in a recent speech “I suppose we could say there might be some doctor who would say to a man who is suffering some sort of sexual dysfunction, ‘You ought to start visiting a prostitute to help you, and I will write you a prescription, and I hope the government will pay for it.’ ”

If the East side reverends can be the NBPP at prayer, I suppose it's okay for the Catholics to be Tea Partiers at prayer.
