ONLY INSUFFERABLE KANSAS CITY HYPOCRITES CARE ABOUT KONY 2012!!!

Once again social media advertising d-bags have created a social media trend that's not really a movement.

Here's a link to the self-righteous clip . . .

KONY 2012

The Guardian does a great job of providing a bit of journalism on the crusade of the moviemakers . . . Kony 2012: what's the real story?

USA Today makes it simple: According to Invisible Children's financial statements, 37% of its $8.9 million 2011 budget was spent on programs in Africa, and 35% was spent on awareness programs.

A very smart person recently reminded me about vast amounts of oil and other natural resources have recently been put in play around Uganda and in the region. Therefor the creation of one more Black boogieman is kind of convenient to spark military intervention.

Either way . . .

It's always amazing to me that so many Kansas City online crusaders would like to save the world but really don't care about anything happening East of Troost.

  1. The people who don't care about what's happening east of Troost are the usual self-appointed leaders who have taken advantage of the residents of that part of town for decades. The school district provided employment for family and friends and a pot of money for contractors. The funds for economic development disappeared into thin air. And any suggestions of parental supervision, personal responsibility, and civil behavior, even by such folks as Bill Cosby, were brushed aside as racism.
And as long as that continues, there will be more vacant houses, more abandoned lots, fewer people living on the east side, and even more crime, mayhem, and homicides.
The status quo is quite literally killing people and the people who can change it don't have the guts to confront the usual suspects.

  5. If you can't pinpoint a leader, how can you stop it? In this case we can. That's why we suddenly seem to care, cause we can actually do something about it by focusing our efforts. As for EKC, there's thousands of people keeping it the way it is...
