I don't believe that someone who hasn't completed their first term in office should jump to run in another race. Bad form... shows lack of commitment.

ReplyDeleteIf someone doesn't think it's okay to finish serving an existing term of elective office before running for another office, fine.
But spare us the sanctimony that it matters if it's the person's first term, the second, or the third.
Both John Burnett and Mike Talboy rely on the plantiffs bar for the bulk of their fundraising. The trial lawyers will not fund a primary against their own money, so someone had to get out and Burnett was the senior man.
ReplyDeleteYou may want to look at some fundraising reports before saying stupid things in public. While Burnett gets a lot of money from the trial bar he also has support from labor.
ReplyDeleteTalboy fundraises all across the board. He has amassed an impressive fundraising total over the past few years.
Google "Missouri Ethics Commission" for more info.

9:22 is right. Burnett is small time just like Holsman. Crystal looks like she might be a contender in this one after all.
Talboy fundraises as Democrat leader so he gets all kinds of checks; however, the trial bar made their choice and that is Burnett. In addition, Theresa gave Lali enoough money to convince Talboy to crawl in a hole.
