ReplyDeleteThe REAL STORY is the underlying belief that she and a LOT of other "civic/business leaders" have thay the rules do not (or should not) apply to them ... and that the organizations THEY are supposed to be working for should be working FOR THE CEO's.
See, for example the Green brothers who after destroying Aquila (and the pensions of Aquila's retired workers), were granted multi-million dollar severance packages. And they are STILL accepted as "pillars of the community" by the country-club/boardroom types.
And by the way, the Chairman of Swope Health System, Frank Ellis, has been taking MORE THAN A MILLION DOLLARS PER YEAR IN COMPENSATION. And he's now the Chairman of the Chamber.
That's how the 1% lives ... and takes money from the rest of us.

To Truth: couldn't agree more. Don't forget John Bluford, the head of Truman Medical Center, makes more than $1million per year! Govt has to subsidize TMC, they are always pleading poverty and CEO Bluford is one of the if not the highest paid hospital CEO in town No more donations to Truman. If they can pay Bluford $1million + they can find they're own cash.
