In light of the latest school shooting . . . Here's Kansas City Area reporting on efforts to deceive students into the mistaken belief that they're protected from unstable people who might do them harm. Surprisingly, this isn't a story about terrorism.

41 Action News spoke to several school districts, including Blue Valley, Hickman Mills, Kansas City, Kansas, Raytown and Kansas City Public Schools who all said they have a plan and protocol in place if an intruder with a gun got inside the school.
