Posted because the images are AWESOME and I have a few firefighters groupies on my FB that might have already attempted to direct my attention to this fire . . . And defend their pay raises. Again.

Add another to the list of EPIC FAILURES by KCFD. There's a fire house at 3211 Indiana, but they couldn't save this small business from burning down. With fire "protection" like this, I hope the business owner, and all the other taxpayers have good insurance!
It wasn't in the Urban Neighborhood Initiative area so who cares?

ReplyDeleteIt was a bunch of cars in a grass covered lot. In the mess was tires, bumpers, railroad ties and other junk. So we didn't "let it burn".
ReplyDeleteYou guys let me know when we get our raises. Every one is all about bashing the FD, why don't you start complaining about any other city services. How about water or transportation... How about 8 guys watching one guy work. Or spending all the time and money just to put a couple round abouts in. I would venture to say that their checks are bigger than mine. Why don't you start bashing city hall instead of all of us that are busting our butts to help the citizens. You think we have it so good. You definitely don't have all the facts.

ReplyDeleteIf I recall I've seen the owner of this place on the news before lamenting how bad the neighborhood is and how hard it is to make it there. He might be glad it burned. Take the insurance and reopen somewhere you won't continually get broken into and can make a living.
